i agree. the late day can do things to you. maybe i looked at it the wrong way?

1. Its easy to ignore weak points....

Remember every bigger picture is formed from a multitude of smaller pictures....every saga has its beginning.......every argument and war is sparked from smaller events......every big picture has its small picture. You phail at looking at long term. You can look at the "big picture"....but the fact is that "big picture" is incomplete at the moment, it'll only be complete in around 4 more years.

2. "I think I'm gonna shed a tear".....my comment and other comments......if you think people are REALLY being serious about this thats your problem, its not our fault you have a much better sense of humour than us, sorry, we'll try to do better next time. If you want to JUST be all serious on the forums, that is your decision......we come here for fun and entertainment....and we won't stop overly melodramatic comments which are fun to read because 1% of the posters take them seriously.

3. Sure lets talk about just this gen.....now can you accept PS3 has had the biggest come back ever? Since we are JUST talking about this gen, can you celebrate that fact? No-one is celebrating third place, no-one ever has........the whole fun in celebrating is when something surprises you.....the PS3 has done that recently.

PS3 may be doing decent in Japan and Amazing in Others but I think that Sony will still be #3 Holiday 2010 because its going to fail hard in America when compared to the Wii and 360...

This week in America:

PS3 is already #3 in America even with Move and 360 still has Kinect and Wii still has the Red Wii as well as tons of exclusives left. Sure PS3 has G.T.5 but Kinect should be bigger than G.T.5 in America. Also D.K.C.R should be able to have more of an effect than G.T.5 in America...throw in the Red Wii, UDraw, M.J.T.E, Golden Eye, and Sonic and you have an automatic win against the PS3 in America.

lol, It's so funny how people come out of no where after their system has been outsold consecutively week after week when they push back to the top. You may wanna keep the champagin on ice Kinect isnt even out yet.

You're right about the holiday season. But I was talking about this generation in general. I believe that, no matter what the big 3 say, this generation is peaking. 2011 will probably be the biggest year, but after that we will see a steady decline. Sony and Microsoft like to say, "10 years", and the Xbox 360 and PS3 just might last that long, but that doesn't mean the next generation won't start like it always has.

Did you look at the Japan and EMEAA charts for this week? lol

Before we start, the Wii outsold the PS3 by 4k and the 360 outsold the PS3 by 18k in America.

Japan (Rounded to nearest 1000) -

PS3  -20k
Wii - 12k
360 - 2k

EMEAA (Rounded to nearest 1000) -

PS3 - 142k
Wii - 86k
360 - 82k

Now in Japan the PS3 leads the Wii by 8k, and leads the 360 by 18k. Both of the American differences are already gone. The PS3 is  already ahead of the Wii by 4k actually.

EMEAA sales added, the PS3 leads the Wii by 56k here, and the 360 by 60k.

Do you see how the American differences of 4k/18k don't really mean all that much in the bigger picture?

Yes, but do you see that in America the PS3 is already #3 without Nintendo or Microsoft even doing anything...also same goes for Japan and Others PS3 had Move while Wii and 360 had nothing Move like yet.

The Americas market is slightly smaller than EMEAA alone, as long as PS3 can keep it up in Japan it won't need the Americas to be #1 or #2.

Very surprised by PS3 awesome sales, I just came back to the site a couple weeks ago looking forward to holiday sales and now I'm even more stoked.
