Including this week's sales where PS3 is more likely to win it will look like:

~8,625,000 vs. ~7,250,000

The 360/PS3 hardware gap is now only 3.8 million....... PS3 has been beating the 360 immediately after Reach launched.

Possible, but not likely IMO. GT5 is huge, but Kinect is $500 million huge. When Move made such an impact on the PS3, Kinect will thrive the 360 sales to an all-time high.

A very (very) crude way to look at the possible software sales figures would be to take the shipment software attach ratio of 8.62 and apply it to the 40.2 million sold hardware number. You get approx 338 million software sold. Though as I said its a very rough guess based on a simple, likely innacurate calculation


Wait doesn't anyone have anything to say about the software discrepancy?  ARE they gonna fix that?

PS3 and 360 will be in a tight race for #1 between GT5/Move and Kinect. Wii won't be too far behind I imagine, making this the most interesting battle this gen will likely see altogether!

Yes, but Kinect wont sell in Japan, GT5 will. however Black Opps will favour the 360, so its difficult to call this one!!

Keep in mind not every game is tracked in some regions.  Also some games have sales figures, but they weren't tracked weekly so they don't factor into the LTD SW numbers on the weekly charts.

At the end of FY 2007 VGC had SW at 42.6 million compared to 71.2 million shipped.  Granted it is harder to tell how much of that was just stock sitting on the shelves and how much was games that weren't tracked early on.  Although it seems VGC has sales at only about 20m for this last quarter which seems pretty low.

It did sell this much this week, only it sold twice as much for the week as VGChartz thought this morning


if you looked at what ioi posted the adjustement were due to being off in certain regions for the last 4-5 weeks primarily. What i want to know is what it actually sold this week without those adjustments added.

Xbox 360 wants to Kinect &  PS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.
