Forums - Sales - PS3 XMas bundle sighted (Europe)

The local MediaMarkt had a new box on display today:

"Playstation 3D Experience Pack"

A rather big black box (no price indicated) containing:

160G PS3

+2 3D goggles

+1 infrared emitter

+ Gran Tourismo 5

+4 other 3D software packs (Motorstorm, something with Star.. + 2 other games)

I don't think Santa is giving me that pack AND a 3D TV.... I have been a naughty boy this year... :(

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

" 1 infrared emitter"

That makes no sense...the sony glasses sync with a TV, and not the PS3/Infrared emmiter.

Howmuch will this cost? I'm guessing 600-700 euros.

I think it's a good move by Sony. While 3D is not really a huge selling point for the PS3 now, I can see it becoming more so a couple of years down the line as the price of 3d tv's and monitors comes down. I know it seems a bit unintuitive  to try to push 3D so hard before its adoption into the home, but I think the idea is that if Sony can get people to associate 3D with the PS3 and visa versa then when people go to buy 3Dtvs they will be more inclined to buy a PS3 because of the association.

I am a huge fan of 3D so I am biased though.

how can they give glasses... they dont know which tv you have??

There are glasses which work with all TVs.

XpanD 103s for example.

Different box, no Blu-rays mentioned, games insde, but the idea seems to be exactly the same. (Of course I tried to look inside the box but it is an empty one..).
