Forums - Nintendo - ZELDA Skyward Sword for Chritmas 2011?

I have been wondering for a long time if we will see the next Zelda in the first part of the year 2011 as Nintendo said or on the other hand we will have to wait a bit longer...

Point one: Nintend has Donkey Kong Country Returns for this holyday season...but what to tehy have for 2011 holidays? Aparantly, nothing. Zelda is the only title that could fit that empty hole in their schedule as the big title that is able to sell Wii units.

Point two: seriously, the game shown at E3 needed a lot of polishment, they even have to create soundtrack (orchestra) (remember that they used twilight princess trailer music for Skyward Sword presentation)...

Point three: Zelda games also suffer from at leats two or three delays... I suppose that in this time it's not gonna change.

I would like to check your point of view.

Title is misleading, as if there was a rumour about zelda comign Christmas 2011.

Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,

mario maker

new 3ds

yoshi woolly world

zelda U

majora's mask 3d

Well we didn't know about Donkey Kong Returns and Kirby's Epic Yarn till E3 this year, so who knows what Nintendo will announce next year for the Wii for Christmas 2011. Perhaps we'll get Pikmin 3?

Skyward Sword will most definitely release early next year. Though if Aonuma and Miyamoto both feel that it needs more time to be polished, then I'd be okay with them delaying it a bit more. Whatever it takes to make the end product that much better :D.

When was the last time we knew Nintendo's holiday line up before E3 of that year?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

I'm going to agree with this, largely because i too think Zelda would make a strong holiday title, and because i think Nintendo will want to focus on 3DS in early 2011, and won't want any kind of crowding out going on.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It will be released with a Special Edition Zelda Anniversary Pack on 1st July 2011, to celebrate 24 years of the Zelda franchise.

There is no point in arguing over this since we don't know what lineup Nintendo has for 2011.

Above: still the best game of the year.

Quite the cobntrary, they may want to come out with Zelda on spring 2011 to prevent 3DS hitting the Wii worse than it already is going to...

But there would be relatively little overlap. My guess is that the early adopters for 3DS will be the people that already have a Wii, by and large

Though you could be right, certainly. I hadn't thought of it that way
