yes people should upgrade from there old 360 models to the new ones in addition to new consumers getting the XBOX 360, which should lead to an extreemely high quarter for XBOX 360, in fact I expect the XBOX 360 to be the #1 selling machine this holiday season, unless sony bundles the ps3 with 3d tv's or does a 3D TV/MOVE combined promotion across the world..

PS3 has japan, but the 360 has the U.S and possibly europe, I say the 360 and PS3 will have a huge holiday season, and one of the greatest battles in console history!

While the wii fall behind dramatically more than I originally expected it to, the red wii may change that though, we'll see

Don't you report everyone that brings Kinect, Xbox, Wii, Wiimote ect into PS3 topics? Yet here you are with your PS3 talk! It doesn't bother me, but it's rather hypocritical Leo ..

OT: The E&D has posted fiscal year profits for the 4th year running now, and profit is totaled at 1,727,000,000 for the Xbox 360. It still has 1,449,000,000 to go before it's been a profitable venture for Microsoft. And of course 4,202,000,000 from the original Xbox.

I have no idea how to forecast future profits, it's a guessing game. All I can guesstimate is by Q1 2012 (Oct 2011 1 year from now) the X360 itself will be a profitable venture, of course we have a lot of variables in the E&D division though ...

We have been hearing this since the launch of the PS3 and still hasn't happened.

I think he means for this Q, but since Source has been a little high across the board, I see no reason why PS3 is immune to it.

The 360 could be profitable now for all we know, there's a lot of loss makers in that divisions that have been weighing it down, like Kin

except vgc was nearly 2 million units off compared to sony's shipments consumer wise last time, I wouldn't be suprised if sony shipped more then what vgc expected them to ship, as always is the case
