2.9 million for XBOX 360 is significantly higher than the Wii's 1.9 million, considering the 360 is a year older than the wii it's quite impressive, I think the XBOX 360 will have a record quarter this upcoming quarter with kinect and the holidays, with people upgrading to the new XBOX 360 and with people getting into KINECT, microsoft is really advertising it, makes move seem like a mediocore launch.
Microsoft said the XBOX 360 outsold all its competitors in the U.S but not in europe or elsewhere.. so... you know what that means, if the wii didn't do it..

yes people should upgrade from there old 360 models to the new ones in addition to new consumers getting the XBOX 360, which should lead to an extreemely high quarter for XBOX 360, in fact I expect the XBOX 360 to be the #1 selling machine this holiday season, unless sony bundles the ps3 with 3d tv's or does a 3D TV/MOVE combined promotion across the world..
PS3 has japan, but the 360 has the U.S and possibly europe, I say the 360 and PS3 will have a huge holiday season, and one of the greatest battles in console history!
While the wii fall behind dramatically more than I originally expected it to, the red wii may change that though, we'll see
