Wow, this is terrible for the Wii, it actually is going down despite big releases. The worst is yet to come during the next 2 weeks, as there will be not a single release for it, and Kirby has already proven that it's going down pretty fast.

We will have to see how Red Wii affects the current trend, but it's possible that the Wii will go sub-10k for the first time ever in Japan.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I would bet on that.  8-9k the week before Red Wii imo.

Wow kirby did really abd numbers imo :/ i really expected it to to do around 60k week 2, but this is just bad! Maybe a regular kirby game for japan was needed. :/ Im now sure that the wii has nothing big this holidays, for once it looks like it will be well beaten by the PS3 unless it DK makes a miraculous turnaround, something i really doubt will happen

I'll repeat, Epic Yarn really isn't "Kirby" enough for series fans.  It's just too different, like Canvas Curse was.

Nintendo imo, would've been better off keeping HAL's Kirby project going, and having Good Feel turn their game into a Yoshi game instead.

Someone please tell me what is the meaning of "legs"? Like when a game has had an opening week then it keep selling, people call it "legs". I don't know what it stands for, please help (not english native language).

I don't know how to start a new topic. So I post here sorry.

Totally agree that's why I was pretty disappointed when I first saw Epic Yarn, though it looks like a nice game, to me it's just not a Kirby game.

100x This!

I have been playing Epic Yarn lately and as of right now I can't suck anything in and transform. Maybe I get that later on, but yeah, this just doesn't "feel" right to me.

As a Yoshi title they wouldn't have to change too much would they? Yeah Kirby can whip that yarn around, but Yoshi has his long tongue.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Yeah!

'legs' means what you said, a games has legs if it sells for months or years with constant sales.

for example: Wii Fit, Sports Resort, MK for Wii etc.

normally games like MW2 or Halo are frontloaded, means high sales in the first week than declining rapidly.

(But MW2 had some serious legs, despite being frontloaded)
