Just a note, if you get one of the 360 Kinect bundles, you'll save $50 on the Kinect.  Other than that, all the other questions seem to have been answered.

I'll just add get a plug and play kit, battaries are a pain in the ass.  In fact, get the spiffy new controller.

For games, from looking at your collection I would say get:

  • Mass Effect 1/2
  • Dead Rising 1/2
  • Bayonetta
  • Alan Wake
  • Fable 1/2/3
  • Ghostbusters (well, everyone should have this game...)

Since you have wii and ps3, I highly recommend not getting 360, but really it is your money. Do what you want with it.

You don't need gold to buy anything from the marketplace.

Since you wanna start off with some cheap games I recommend:

Mass Effect
Fable II
Gears of War
Halo 3
Lost Odyssey
Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
Forza 3
Alan Wake

I assumed you wanted exclusives, since you have a PS3.

Yes, because everyone has the same exact needs and situation as you!

PC is not the better platform and neither are the PS3 and 360.  It all depends on what the person wants and that is the best platform for them.

That doesn't mean they might not realize there's a better platform out there, but there's no need to be a jerk and make some stupid comment that adds absolutely nothing to the conversation.

When I get that controller I'm probably going to spend two days just marveling at the D-Pad and it's engineering and constantly twisting it and playing with it and then I will leave it on the real D-Pad setting and not move it again.
