I taking with others on the forum I decided to ask ever one what is your tack on the Genre that the Yakuza sires fits into.

I have also looked at games like the Yakuza Sires as Action Adventure Games and with thee yakuza Games as a spiritual sucsessor to shenmue which is basically an Adventure Game.

I have noticed how a lot of Genres in Video Games can have a lot of similar elements like Action Adventure Games can share a lot of elements with RPGs and vice verse and some RPGs can be more like an FPS or TPS then you would expect. and some RPGs like the soon to be released Trinity: Souls of Zill O’ll share a lot in conman with Beat Em Ups.

I will gladly except the majority consensus on this because after all most Genres are defined buy the people that make or Play Game.

Open World Yakuza Arcade Simulator?

action,adventure makes more sense. lol

I can't belive anyone can claim Yakuza is RPG.

It's a 3D version of classic  2d scrolling fightning games.

First there's no random element in fightning, second it lacks any proper character development (unlocking new combos and increasing healt bar != character development), third you don't have real equipment system.

Other: raiser sim.

If something like borderlands can get called a RPG, then so can Yakuza.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

It's an action-RPG. It has leveling, questing, and character customization.

As for the "random element to combat" argument there are many RPGs with no "invisible dice roll" for damage, including Fable.

Its an (Action/Adventure) game.
