Xenoblade, Zangeki, and Tales of Graces are all pretty low selling games in Japan. So if they don't get localized it won't be a surprise to me. If The Last Story manages at least 600k or more in Japan, I think it will get localized. It seems to be more western-friendly than most other JRPGs.

I really hope they decide to release it. I can name only 3 "good" JRPG's on home consoles this generation and even then 1 of those 3 is mediocre if you consider the series it comes from.
The Last Story looks like it could be the best JRPG on home consoles since Final Fantasy 9 hit in 2000, or to be more modest since Persona 4. I also hope Xenoblade will make it.
I think Nintendo are waiting to see the critical reception before they localise. but i think they definitly have it planned, they just need a green light to do it. as for Xenoblade, i would say it looks unlikely at the moment for that, but its possible if TLS does well then Nintendo might consider to publish it in the west.

Actually...the vast majority of JRPG's sell MUCH better in the west. Look at:

Of course, The Last Story is an unknown quantity. However, I'd be surprised that, with this marketing push, Nintendo won't release it here in the west, and probably release Xenoblade in the dry period mid-year. That's what I'd do, anyway

This is what I'd expect. However, I hope that Famitsu wil gove 36-40/40. that way, it's almost certain it'll be localised!
