| mortono said: Xenoblade, Zangeki, and Tales of Graces are all pretty low selling games in Japan. So if they don't get localized it won't be a surprise to me. If The Last Story manages at least 600k or more in Japan, I think it will get localized. It seems to be more western-friendly than most other JRPGs. Love the music by the way. |
Actually...the vast majority of JRPG's sell MUCH better in the west. Look at:
Lost Odyessey is earlier in the thread
Blue Dragon: America Japan EMEAA
| Lifetime Totals: | 292,065 | 210,462 | 200,210 | 701,767 |
|---|
Fragile Dreams:
| Lifetime Totals: | 82,255 | 55,284 | 70,225 | 207,764 |
|---|
Arc Rise Fantasia:
| Lifetime Totals: | 89,449 | 58,069 | 0 | 147,518 |
|---|
To name but a few. If Xenoblade was localised, I expect WW LT totals to be:
| Lifetime Totals: | 350,000-400,000 | 160,000-170,000 | 250,000-350,000 | 760,000-1,000,000 |
|---|
And The Last Story the be:
| Lifetime Totals: | 600,000-700,000 | 550,000-600,000 | 500,000-600,000 | 1,650,000-1,900,000 |
|---|
Of course, The Last Story is an unknown quantity. However, I'd be surprised that, with this marketing push, Nintendo won't release it here in the west, and probably release Xenoblade in the dry period mid-year. That's what I'd do, anyway
