i would expect nintendo to change more often considering they've been in the business for almost 30 years.
But game wise they havent changed at all or very little.

how about try and make new ones???? just a thought
-about Metroid, I think Retro did a really good job with prime, they should continue that way, now what they have to do is utilize the hardware power (talking about next-gen) to render the game even more realistc, for example they could make the eviroment even more interactive, the AIs of creatures and excpecially pirates should be refined (examples, intelligent creatures that using enviroment at their advantange to attack and hide, space spirates should do some "teamwork" and also use the enviroment to cover and to sorround you)The story should still remain a minimal part, and yes samus should not be talking. The game should also be developed without haste to be better refined, 3 years at least. (My wet dream is a collaboration beetween Retro and Valve.)
-about Zelda, I'll wait ti play skyward sword but imo, atm is the one that needs more refinement, while the design of dungeons, the core of the game, should remain untouched, the other elements of the game need an update.1st the actual combat system should be changed into something yet simple but more challenging or strategic, one thing I thought of is to add a stamina bar which decreases every time you miss a hit or your hit is blocked (something similar to punch-out), also enemies should be less predictble to make this thing work. 2nd. character interaction, I think Nintendo should learn something from Bethesda excpecially from Fallout about this, even there you use a non-talking character but still there is a lot of interesting dialogues both with main characters and walk-on actors. Also why not giving link a dog friend (insted of him being a wolf), it could help link by finding smell traces to spot creatures/enemies/particular items/characters, it could also fight smaller enemies or distract big ones, it finally could help passing throgh small passages and holes.
-About other games, like F-zero , Starfox and Pikmin, those should be made on 3DS, on wii successor I would like to see "new" series.

I do agree that we need some sorta setting change. |
Putting a Zelda game in a regular city isn't exactly what I was trying to describe. Essentially, Link would be this regular guy that gets pulled into an alternate world. I think traveling between a more modern-like world and a steampunk style world could be very interesting because machines could add a whole new element to Zelda games. We've been using the Master Sword against Ganon for so long that I'd just like to see them switch up the formula again.

Starfox with just flying? Starfox 64 was great and it had more than just flying . . .

it was great
but, the submarine, Landmaster parts were just good imo. The flying parts were fantastic. And the walking around with a bazooka as each of the characters in multiplayer was bad. hence the just flying!
flying >>>>>> than everything else in starfox 64 imo. Or they could improve the other aspects I guess :P
Imagine if Layton and Phoenix Wright got together in the same game!? :O
I know they're not Nintendo franchises, but it'd still be hawsome :)

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
more guns, more blood j/k
I'm personally not a Nintendo fan and haven't played many Nintendo games, but I'd really like to see a full blown movie-quality-like home console Pokémon MMO. That probably would end any real life I have.
Why are people so obcessed with steampunk and modern game environments? They're boring and not very creative! I don't dislike it, I loathe it! It wouldn't even be Zelda anymore and it would suck. Totally.
There's many things I'd like Nintendo to change in Zelda, but the setting isn't one of them. I've said what I'd want in Zelda many times before, I don't feel like repeating myself. Looking forward to SS.
