I think it's amusing that when you keep both of them in-character it becomes really obvious how much more polite Layton is when compared to Phoenix.

I wish it was the Layton dudes doing the story. I fear the Capcom dudes will massively downgrade Professor Layton. -_-

You can see it already from the trailer. Always looking so serious as if he was the bad guy or something. -_-
Plus, Layton does not believe in magic. There's a logical explanation for everything.

As long as Takumi writes the story I'm sure it'll be an amazing game!

Takumi is confirmed to be involved as the scenario writer, though I'm sure Level-5 is retaining considerable control.
