I actually just hate MS and the 360. Its just coincidence that I like sony as well. And I mostly play on PC anyway so its not like the console pissing war is a big deal to me. But it is interesting.

I believe you hate MS, but I don't believe your preference of Sony is a coincidence.

The console war pissing seems to be a very big deal to you. I see you bashing the 360 all the time.

Because its interesting. What else is there to talk about on vgchartz but the console war?

Its because you don't want to comprehend. I'm not bitching about there spending because I have a stake in their finances. I'm bitching because they're spending all this money on Kinect and let their studios wither on the vine and not make any games.

They aren't just spending this money on the Kinect. They are spending all this money rebranding the 360. Hence, this isn't just a Kinect marketing campaign. This is a huge marketing campaign for the Xbox 360. Clearly this rebranding hasn't hurt the 360. Its been topping the charts for months.

You need to stop being so concerned about Rare and Ensemble. You are only focused on MS's failures and not their successes.

Look at it from my point of views, a man with a PC gaming background. There is absolutely nothing MS has done for me. They have failed at every turn to create a product that could interest me.

I swear, MS just keeps making Sony looking good right about now...MS had let them get the edge up in graphics time & time again ever since Uncharted 2, they don't have any good exclusives outside of Gears Of War 3 (which won't come out until late next year), & instead of them focusing on those two things alone to try to match Sony, they decided to spend half a billion on advertising this garbage...

I don't know what's going through their heads right now...I just don't. Looks like they need someone smarter like myself to come in & shape them up. Seriously.

Sorry. Nobody gives a shit about the graphics wars. No game Micorsoft could ever make has the potential to sell as many systems or make as much money as this. There's no way it'll fail with this kind of exposure. I made a thread after E3 2009 that Kinect (then Natal) would put the 360 on top on a weekly basis for the remainder of the generation. With the position the Wii is currently in and now seeing this, I think my crazy prediction may just become reality.

LMAO. Seriously? I honestly doubt that those that have already owned a Wii are going to immediately rush out to spend $300 with tax just to do more motion control gaming. Plus most of the hardcore fans won't pick this up unless they have children or somewhat that wants to play with it. Plus word of mouth a big problem for Kinect if it doesn't perform well as advertised. If people grab this thing and stories start filtering about it “not working in people’s living rooms” (which I still think is a huge issue for the tech), & so on — no amount of marketing will shake that.

Even if this does become popular throughout this holiday season, the real, true test of this product's popularity will come after December's over, to see how well it'll sell outside Black Friday & Christmas if that happens.

Also, what should happen when Nintendo lowers the price of the Wii to $150 this holiday season & bundles it with a core game to counter them? Then those that still haven't bought one are going to be paying more attention to that instead.

Whoever is in charge has completely lost track of their fanbase, and what got them where they were in the first place (hardcores). Who do you think bought most of those 360 systems? Again, hardcores.

Their reputation among hardcore gamers has definitely dropped over the past 2 years, from what I heard. They were on top of the world a while ago.

I honestly think this could come back to bite them in the rear for next gen.

Your entire reasoning seems to hinge mainly on the fact the technology doesn't work.  I think you're going to be very sorely disappointed to find it does.

It involves more than just that, like I said throughout my entire post. I'm just sick of people everywhere that are defending & praising this junk like it's the second coming (not just here, but everywhere else). I own a 360 & I think it's garbage. Not to mention that this has been done before (like Eyetoy, & of course, the Wii). The gaming selection for it is nothing more than Wii/Eyetoy shovelware ripoffs, with most of them that just aren't that interesting.

Plus do you really believe that this would be great for gamers in the long run? Do you want this gimmicky crap replacing original controllers for next gen if this is so hugely successful, & want 3rd party developers focusing more money, time, & effort on trashy shovelware games like what's going on right now? Because I certainly don't. That's one of the reasons why I avoided the Wii altogether, because of this motion controller crap & too many shovelware games. At least there are some smart people out there like myself that aren't dumb enough to fall for this kind of hype.

Plus if this does replace regular controller gaming for next gen, then this gen will be my last gen for console gaming. All I want is to just sit back & relax & play games with regular controllers, the way that they were meant to be played, just like it has always worked for the past 26, 27 years since the NES was born. I don't want to come home from a long day of work & to play games by waving my arms or my body around like a buffoon. I'm sorry. I don't.

Oh, that's great logic. Since MS does nothing you particularly enjoy you have to piss and moan at people that actually enjoy their products?

I see, very mature.

You can doubt all you want.

Physically there would be deaths and a lot of major injurues if every Wii owner in America rushed out to buy Kinect. Luckily however only a few at a time will decide to visit the store, thankfully.

P.S. If Kinect didn't work as advertised we would have heard about it already after they held hundreds if not thousands of public demonstrations in crowded malls.

Another poster said that already (in italics). Plus I don't get it, why do people like you keep praising this junk & think it's awesome? It's not. I fail to see how this is "revolutionary."
