Alright, I'll join this band of circus folk! This is pretty much my first hardware sales prediction... so don't laugh too hard when this is all said and done.

I will add any more entrants again tomorrow night, I would prefer those who are planning on entering get some figures down at least, as I said before, there is no point waiting for GT5 date to create them in the first place as you can edit them after then anyway (assuming they do give a date before the deadline... either way we will all be in the same situation so it's still fair) i'm not forcing you or anything but I would think it makes things easier on yourselves (having the groundwork done earlier) in addition to me.

Alright then, my PS3 predictions are in. I guessed a week 8 release for GT5 or so.

I started to make my predictions but then Firefox crashed!!

I wasn't very confident with my predictions but it would still have been fun.

Ok here's my very early preliminary predictions. I'll almost certainly edit these later. For now I'm assuming GT5 will be the first week of December (week 6). Black Friday really comes down to how good the deals and bundles are. I can see PS3 winning in Americas that week again if PS3 has similarly good deals to what it had last year.

I will vote fo this soon, it's just late now and I want to make predictions on a clear head. So add my name to the tab, and expect predictions by this weekend (have a lot of work to do this week, so I won't have time until then).

Also, how do points work? I see the lower the points we get the better, but what are they based on? What do they reflect?

The points represent the per cent difference of your numbers from the real sales numbers (only slightly different). 

They are calculated, so that over and underestimating are penaltied more equally, as:  

( (predicted - real)/real*100% plus (predicted - real)/predicted*100% )/2

and then taking the absolute number in whole points .

example:

Predicted 200 Real sales number 250

( (200-250)/250*100 plus (200-250)/200*100 )/2 = -22,5 = 23 points
