Who would do a pre-order for a title that has no info, screens or whatever?

It just has a confirmation and nothing else...

Screens... info... the masses don't need that! CoD is one of the best selling 3rd party games on the Wii. The HD version is being hyped to death and dominating the pre order list. You would think the Wii version would catch some of that hype shrapnel.

But that's not my main argument. I'm just reluctant to believe it'll be ready to launch with the HD versions. I could be wrong.

I'd be amazed if anyone expected a game aimed at teenage-twenty-something males to do better on Wii. Everyone knows that the Wii market is far more varied and a far smaller percentage will be impressed with playing the same game with yet another new skin. Saying that, I'm an idiot and will buy it.

It won't. And the excuse is - the game (Wii version) is not being advertised at all.

Unless anyone thinks that advertising has nothing to do with sales, we can all agree that Activision probably doesn't care for the sales of the Wii version.

Or maybe they do. Maybe they actually realized at this point that a Wii version of any CoD game will always sell a million copies in the long run no matter what. Which is probably enough for them, so why even bother marketing it, right?

It won't sell as well as the HD versions, I don't think anyone is expecting it to. The HD version (the 360 version to be precise) is the lead version. But all three COD titles on the Wii have sold over a million copies and there is a great online community on the Wii versions, something that Treyarch have commented on and were surprised by. As a Wii gamer I wouldn't even try to claim the Wii version will be the best selling. I will however state that if the Wii version is another improvement on the past COD games and builds on MWR and integrates voice chat, coop and other features it will be a great game and hopefully do a million and outsell previous versions!

the Wii version will do a mil anyway no freaking doubt maybe more. I just expected that with an install base twice as large as either HD console it would be able to match the sales of at least the PS3 version. I believe COD3 was close, was just wondering what happened from then and now??? not really buying the no ads thing either. MS pushed ads for MW2 last year really hard even bundled the damn thing with 360s but PS3 still managed to do huge #s. Where have the FPS fans on Wii gone??? have they moved on the HDs or just gave up on the notion of FPSs on Wii??? or maybe the FPS fanbase isnt that large as the hd ones.  I hope these arent the cases cause 007 is fun and Coduit 2 looks fine

They haven't gone anywhere. People are still buying them, but 50% of Wii owners are female and less of them play games like COD than males. Added to the fact the teenage-twenty something males are less likely to want an 'inferior' version then it seems pretty obvious that it will not perform like the 360 and PS3 versions; perhaps 1.5 million?

It has the potential to do more than reflex as it is being released alongside the other versions. We'll see in a month or so, eh?

Approxiametely 2 days before the game is released. Activision will then go on a crusade to get them removed from all major sites.
