Last story, hands down. You can't go wrong with Sakaguchi san

Apart from ofcourse FF7 :)

You got me there for a second, lol

But hey even his post FF era has been really enjoyable, I really liked Lost Odyssey, it helped ease the pain of waiting for FFXIII

Lost Odyssey was pretty damn amazing.

Also, whilst FF7 was good, it wasn't my favourite in the series. The overlooked FF8 and the awesome DS remake of FF4 stand just a tiny bit above it IMO.

There are aspects of 10 and 12 I enjoyed: I liked the battle system in both games. I was just not too fond of the sprawling 3D environments, they caused me to get tired of the games often - whereas I could probably sit and play through any of FF6, FF7, or FF8 all the way through - given I had the time and coffee =)

I liked the direction the series was going on SNES and PSX, but FF10, 12, and 13 seemed to be following the trend of making the worlds bigger, and increasing the amount of combat, and lowering the frequency of communication between characters and story sequences.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Double post man- first it takes me onto Windows messanger and then it does a double post?

Underlined- I'm glad someone agrees with me at last.

DQX. Not really interested in the others. I'm getting bored of action RPGs. I need more turn-based.

It's mostly the same for me.  I buy my RPGs, SRPG and TBS games to be my "relax, conetemplate and chill" games.  The kind of games that lets me build a huge strategy and execute it to my will.

Honesty, i tend to count ARPGs more as action games with RGP elements rather then RPGs with an action combat system.

Just how sports games that have rpg modes or are entirely RPG mode are still sports games.

Why is Monster Hunter mentioned in a RPG thread? Great games I admit. Love 3 to death. In the end though its an action game before anything else.

The only RPG that has my eye is DQX really. The others seem pretty cool, but I am still recovering my desire to play action RPGs. I might give Last Story a show though. I do like Sakaguchi's work on the whole. I just don't want another experience like Tales of Vesperia which burned me so bad.

Starcraft 2 ID: Gnizmo 229

The Last Story and Xenoblade.

They're included in my sig for hype.

updated: 14.01.2012

playing right now: Xenoblade Chronicles

Hype-o-meter, from least to most hyped:  the Last Story, Twisted Metal, Mass Effect 3, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Playstation ViTA

bet with Mordred11 that Rage will look better on Xbox 360.

It used to be The Last Story but it changed to Xenoblade. Actually: both.

DQX is most probably still years away.

After putting over 100 hours in DQ8 I must say DQ10

I have 90 hours in Monter Hunter Tri

90 hours? Pah, I laugh at your n00bishness. Come back when you have reached over 200 hours and join the "group" of elite hunters. I've done it for 213 hours now, but a friend has done it for 1,200 hours. Obsessive much?

Though, your Zelda collection is pretty neat...

My noooooobishnes!! haha, well i have the game since 1 month ago, give me a brake!

It's OK man, I know what your getting at :)

If that REALLY is the case, which it probably is, then I hope you enjoy it for much time to come, I know I shall be!

Don't worry. I already know it.

I must warn you, it gets crippilingly painful later on...

Why? I almos have hunted every monster in the game.
