So, why do you like stereoscopic 3D?

And not just in games, but movies too. Anything it can be applied to really.

And if you don't like 3D, then don't bother posting.

I really like 3D because it makes for a more natural picture. All of a sudden you're not watching a flat picture, but a something more real than that, and just makes for a much more natural way to view. Immersion for the win!

I'm really excited to play the 3DS for this very reason!

Because it rules. I cant wait to play games in 3D.

I agree it seems more natural, and much more immersive.  If one really things about it, you are getting twice the information, as each eye is seeing a differenct picture.  Then your brain turns it into 3D.

Just like colour looks better than black and white, and high def looks better than standard, the 3D as a similar increase in realism.  I also like the high speed rates of say a 120Hz tv, and how more realistic it looks.

It also seems, odly, easier on my eyes.  (Well good 3D)

I'm looking forward to 3D too!  I do think it will be helped by increase resolution say Quad HD (2160P) and higher frame rates will really make it stand out.  If you have ever had a chance to see a film in 48P its quite and upgrade over the standard 24p (at least in the States).

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Because of the 3DS.

No glasses ftw.

because of GT5

Because in 2D you are only looking at the game/movie but in 3D you are inside of that fantastic world. Home 3D is something Ive been waiting for many years. My fav 3D game so far is Wipeout HD and Motorstorm. Demon Souls also looks so much better when converted 2D->3D. My fav movie is Grand Canyon adventires by IMAX on 3D blu ray. Looking forward to Black Ops, POP Collection, Team Ico Collection and Killzone3 - all in 3D! 3DS will be a cool handheld but that will be a very small and limited 3D. Someone rightly said ealier in a different thread "that since now you all know that glass-less huge tv's that are affordable and practical are many years away i think we should just all gree that maybe haveing 3d tv with glasses is not such a bad thing afteral."

well the Best thing about 3D is racing games, Why because if you have 3D and in the Cockpit view you feel like you are in the car making prefect 1:1 realism almost especially with GT5. while other than racing cars with 3D is an standout, jus the added resolution and fantastic visuals 3D add is amazing.

Also the Stereoscopic 3D is better with the glasses since the 3DS doesn't use true 3D only tricks 3D and the no glasses TV are cool but you have to stay dead still which is a total pain. well hopefully they can invent one with no glasses and can move around and watch still. Anyways i hope to get an 3D tv/computer screen by the end of next year so cant wait.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

I forgot that! GT5 and Motorstorm Apocalypse will support 3d too.

I'm gonna sound like I'm a fanboy and like I'm on Nintendo's dick but the 3DS is the first use of the 3D that actually worked imo and has me excited.

I saw avatar in 3D and it was shit. It didn't add anything but bluriness and cheap 3D effects every now and then. I saw the Killzone 3 gameplay demo at E3 during the Sony Conference on that big ass screen and again nothing but a big ass fuzzy mess. Maybe if I played a PS3 game with a regular sized TV in front of me my opinion would change but even then I wouldn't want to wear the stupid glasses.

3DS works great no glasses and it's depth not crappy things popping out. So I'm looking forward to 3D in portable hardware like cellphones. I'm not excited for 3D on a big screen since it still has a long way to go. I still cant believe theyre pushing 3D so soon and hard when HD STILL isn't standard.

So not to brag or anything but I've got some experience with this. Some of you guys are saying racing games and games in general look much better but have any of you actually played or at least seen these games running in 3D? It's not as detailed as you guys are saying it is.

Because Nintendo is making it so I don't have to wear two sets of glasses.
