I'm really suprised I'm waiting to pre-order my 3DS as we speak and was really looking forward to trying out Kid Icarus , Paper Mario and Mario Kart. I thought at least one of them or one of the third party titles I was interested in would be among the launch titles.

Now out of the titles I think LOZ:OoT is the most appealing but I already own it on Virtual Console and on the collectors disk for GameCube. Do I really need or want to own it again just on 3DS? The only launch title I am remotly interested in would have to be Super Monkey Ball.

What about you, the list includes heavy hitters like Nintendog's + Cats , PilotWings and Professor Layton. But are their any games you think are a must own? Is this the launch line-up you thought was going to be?

steel diver is the only really new game. the rest are sequel/remakes

the list will probably be longer when it releases outside japan so i cant say i'm disapointed. i hope a good rpg will be available for it when it releases here.

Yeah, it's kind of limited, but it just means I won't have to buy one at launch. I wonder when more titles will come out...

Well looks like Kid Icarus and Paper Mario as launch titles was bullish.

In Fact there is no MARIO?!!!

For my personal tastes, the launch lineup is crap and Super Street Figther IV 3D is the one to get if at launch.

But I'm gonna see if there will be be a MGS SNake Eater 3D Bundle after launch. That's when I'll buy it if announced.

I'm not disapointed by any means, I'll definitely be getting Zelda and Street Fighter and possibly Steel Diver.

This is just the Japanese lineup, I assume.  Given the announcements already, there are likely to be more games for the Western launch and generally a rush in the months after release of titles that just missed the system launch window.

I certainly hope, that the European launch lineup includes Paper Mario, Mario Kart, RE: Revelations or even Resident Evil: Mercenaries.

(Frankly, they're the only 3DS games, that I'm interested in. Kid Icarus looks too much like Sin & Punishment, and I have no interest in remakes.)

Was hoping/expecting a Resident Evil and MGS title on debut.

Was looking forward to playing Zelda: OoT and SFIV again in handheld format, but realistically, unless the 3D effects make *that* much of a difference, I don't think either of those games that I've already played to the bone are worth another $30-40 a pop.

There seem to be a lot of remakes. I'm not sure if it's a good thing that most of the games I'm looking forward to on the 3DS fall into that category either.

Would also love to see another Advance Wars (which made me buy a GBA and a DSL) although I'm not sure whether Nintendo has buried that franchise.

Since I don't live in Japan, I can't say. When the US launch line up is released, I can give you an answer.
