I think terrorism is greatly overhyped.
The way I see it, one form of terrorism or another has been around since the dawn of time and will always be a factor as long as humans exist.
Statistically speaking someone is more likely to get hurt in a car accident then in a terrorist attack.
People need to let go of their fears and just live life.
From experience I have found that most news networks are not really there to give us news but to crank out propaganda so as to manipulate the population in such a way where the network's corporate backers interests will be served.
America and the rest of the world would be better of if they stopped fighting all these wars as they achieve nothing but to fill the pockets of the military industrial complex.

With unemployment as high as it is do you really think there is such a thing as "jobs people don't want"?

Yes I believe so. Atleast in Europe it is like this.

I can really say that's not the case in the US. There is a reason why high unemployment even with a good economy is commonly reffered to as "Eurostasis".
It's also one of the main reasons the US doesn't incentivize not working as much as Europe.

It's laughably unlikely.
1) We don't have guns everywhere in Europe. Indeed, the only people with guns are police officers and army officials.
2) 9/11 was blind luck and only worked because America was completely unprepared for that sort of thing, and even then only because of some unfortunate physics. The twin towers were built to withstand an impact from an aeroplane.
3) Al-Qaeda, as has been mentioned, is now extremely weak. Afghanistan and Iraq are both under American occupation, and all of the training camps have been shut down.
4) The threat level has been on "severe" for a good five years now.
| numonex said: Paranoid, religious extremist leader/government in Europe pushing anti-terrorists policies. Scapegoat of Muslims and using them as a tool to create fear in the people. Fear = discipline, divide, conquer and control. Government strengthens its grip when it divides and conquers people. Individuals are easier to control than organised groups. The global war on terrorism can never be won. Terrorists are not solely Muslims, anyone can be a terrorist/thug/hooligan. The government's army and police are growing all the time. The media makes us believe that the Terrorists are all extreme Muslim fundamentalists. Safe and secure to keep the terrorists at bay but the loss of freedom and liberty. Internet censorship, wire tapping and the loss of privacy. Richard Nixon was perhaps ahead of his times. His methods are considered acceptable in the modern police state. |
See, this would be correct if our government wasn't so moronically politically correct. Hell, if you asked David Cameron what the number one terrorist threat to the UK was, he probably wouldn't answer, for fear of offending people. Indeed, it's this sort of stupid PC which is going to lead to the growth of extremism, but that's another matter.
No, terrorists are not solely Muslim, but in recent years, most terrorist attacks have been carried out by extremist Islamic groups. A thug/hooligan is not the same as a terrorist. A hooligan will occasionally steal some phones and perhaps graffiti somewhere. A terrorist is politically motivated. A terrorist is more than happy to blow up a school or hospital in the name of their cause and die in the process. A thug or hooligan isn't.
Now not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are Muslims, but the most internationally renowned terrorist group, and the group responsible for the worst terrorist attack in recorded history, is an Islamic fundamentalist group.
America does not censor the internet, and nor does Europe. Every government in the world wire taps and has done so for as long as it's had the technology, and privacy is everywhere. Your government hasn't set up telescreens in your home. Honestly, everybody who complains about "lack of liberty" seriously needs to go live in the Middle East, or North Korea, and then see if they're still whining about the government monitoring their Amazon purchases and checking their shoes at airports.
What would you say about Christian Nazis killing millions of Jews in the Holocaust? They were far worse than Al Qaeda or Taliban.

^ It is very clear that we are talking about now. Or do you really want that someone now mentions what happened with native Americans? An discussion that leads to nowhere.

I would say... they weren't terrorists?
Also, their leaders weren't Christian... by in large they were occultists and mysticists with some atheism...
Really there were plans to pretty much destroy christianity once they won the war. Unite it under a german evangelical church (a lot like england did way back win) and slowly kill it and replace it with nationalism.

I mean... "National Socialism and religion cannot exist together.... The heaviest blow that ever struck humanity was the coming of Christianity. Bolshevism is Christianity's illegitimate child. Both are inventions of the Jew. The deliberate lie in the matter of religion was introduced into the world by Christianity.... Let it not be said that Christianity brought man the life of the soul, for that evolution was in the natural order of things."
doesn't exactly sound like the most pro-chrsitian bunch to me.... but...
yeah they were an actual government.
That has much more serious issues, that's why nobody recognizes Hamas as a government... because if they did... Israel could get away with a lot more.
