Paranoid, religious extremist leader/government in Europe pushing anti-terrorists policies. Scapegoat of Muslims and using them as a tool to create fear in the people. Fear = discipline, divide, conquer and control. Government strengthens its grip when it divides and conquers people. Individuals are easier to control than organised groups.

The global war on terrorism can never be won. Terrorists are not solely Muslims, anyone can be a terrorist/thug/hooligan. The government's army and police are growing all the time. The media makes us believe that the Terrorists are all extreme Muslim fundamentalists.

Safe and secure to keep the terrorists at bay but the loss of freedom and liberty. Internet censorship, wire tapping and the loss of privacy.  Richard Nixon was perhaps ahead of his times. His methods are considered acceptable in the modern police state.

See, this would be correct if our government wasn't so moronically politically correct. Hell, if you asked David Cameron what the number one terrorist threat to the UK was, he probably wouldn't answer, for fear of offending people. Indeed, it's this sort of stupid PC which is going to lead to the growth of extremism, but that's another matter.

No, terrorists are not solely Muslim, but in recent years, most terrorist attacks have been carried out by extremist Islamic groups. A thug/hooligan is not the same as a terrorist. A hooligan will occasionally steal some phones and perhaps graffiti somewhere. A terrorist is politically motivated. A terrorist is more than happy to blow up a school or hospital in the name of their cause and die in the process. A thug or hooligan isn't.

Now not all Muslims are terrorists, and not all terrorists are Muslims, but the most internationally renowned terrorist group, and the group responsible for the worst terrorist attack in recorded history, is an Islamic fundamentalist group.

America does not censor the internet, and nor does Europe. Every government in the world wire taps and has done so for as long as it's had the technology, and privacy is everywhere. Your government hasn't set up telescreens in your home. Honestly, everybody who complains about "lack of liberty" seriously needs to go live in the Middle East, or North Korea, and then see if they're still whining about the government monitoring their Amazon purchases and checking their shoes at airports.
