As for the idea of other life on the planet. It wouldn't be intelligent. If any life exists on it, it would be the equivalent to archeabacteria, because that is all the climate could support.

Ah, those fine people who do think we always have suitable spaceships to handle any emergency tucked away in a hanger somewhere and of course there are enough of them to bail us all out should the need arise.
On Topic - yes, I saw this. Interesting find and not even very far away (from an astronomical distance perspective that is). Will watch closely to see what else turns up as further study of the planet ensues.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
