Sorry for your loss dude.
Oh shit... I have a Sega saturn PC USB pad that works on my PS3. Hope that still works.
I didn't update yet though...and even if it doesn't, I have the same pad working on the 360 so all is good.
All I can say is that I feel sorry for the guy who made this for this PS3:

Another thread I read said that the original Fight Pad that released with Street Fighter 4 is cancelled. I tried like hell to get the 360 version and I couldn't. Those things were selling for well over $100 on eBay and were sold out in stores before the game even released. If I were one of those people, I'd be pissed.
-Anyway, sorry Kyliedog. As a fellow fighting game player, I know that there's no replacement for that perfect controller/joystick.

that really sucks. I don't really use anything but the DS3 but I'm guessing my PS2 controllers stopped working via USB.
If I thought it would actually achieve something I'd tell you to call Sony and complain.

I'm surprised that all three console manufacturers can get away with BS like this.

What have Microsoft and Nintendo done?

Agreed. My Action Replay for Gamecube got killed in one early update. Pissed me off like nothing else! I never really bought any third party 360 peripherals but we all know how bad MS is. I wonder how the future will play out. Will they start erasing our MP3's, photos, or videos? Will they lock out our SD cards and external HDD's? These guys have too much power over our purchases.
-The thing that worries me the most: I buy all of my PSP games from the PSN. My little girl has a PSP, too. Whenever I buy a kid friendly comic or game for my PSP, I put it on her PSP, as well. Twice this year, she's been unable to play her content because it had to be reactivated. I connect the PSP to the PS3 to accomplish this. I can only imagine what it will be like in a few years when my PS3 is dead or the PSN makes some radical change. We'll be stuch with content we can't even play!!
All my controllers (move controller too) stopped syncing yesterday, a few days after I had flashed 3.50.
I had to reflash 3.50 with a usb stick. What an annoyance, I hope this doesn't happen again.
At first I thought they had been disabled, but I only own genuine controllers...

Microsoft disabled unlicensed memory cards.
Sony disabled unlicensed USB devices (seems to be excluding hard disk and flash drives)
Nintendo disabled the Action Replay and any other disc that was capable of circumventing their copyright protection system.
(note, I may be missing some instances of similar behavior)
How do they get away with it? They retain the rights to only allow licensed content to work with their machines. Yes, it sucks for the consumer, especially when it comes to controllers and memory cards that don't enable pirating, but it is within their legal rights.

didn't they allow for USB stick saves and profile storage like a month of two after doing this? If this was a trade off, I am glad MS did it...
