How about compare how well Fable III is doing compared to Fable II. That'll be much more sensible and relevant.

 

There is no Fable II data so do the math. He's comparing it to highest selling WRPG we have data for.

GT5 is doing decently,with a 500k opening in japan (from the preview) over 500k in America,that already makes it a 1M FW game,excluding Europe,it's biggest playground.

And after all...GT is all about legs ;)

Fine that's my bad on my part as I did not know VGC didn't have the pre order data for much older games.

But it still isn't a reasonable comparison to make. Why compare an established RPG Series that is well known and has sold well, to a brand new IP which didn't have much marketing nor create big buzz? If it was the other way around where DAO had amazing pre orders and Fable III right now wasn't matching it, then it would be reasonable because it's a New IP that did well when compared to an existing series of the same genre. And of course I wouldn't complain either if he was comparing two established series. Nothing wrong with that ie COD BO vs Reach vs MW2. But comparing to a New IP is not fair.

Zelda: skyward Sword must be 31st then since it almost had 40,000 pre-orders lats weeks since they had the top 50, For all we know donkey kong Country returns could be in the top 50.

so FM3 did 225k week 1 with 190k preorder

so 300k preorder for GT5 and 500k week1 is safe ...

will still be hard for GT5 to hit the 10M LTD

the 15 M are impossible BTW

And Kinect Adventures saw quite a big boost this week. With advertising likley to start in the next weeks, I think it will move to 200k preorders in NA alone. So a 400k first week (worldwide) is possible. Especially with the xmas-chaos going on.



I think Kinect will get between 250 and 300 preorders in NA.  

I expect at least 500k week one worldwide.  Thats almost $100m in revenue - week one (when exchange rates are taken into account).

 

I can't pin a number on it, I'm going to wait for advertising to start, but as we know the target audience for Kinect doesn't usually pre order, so yeah 500k week one sounds pretty good! Think MS will achieve 3 million sold?
