dude there is NO CONVINCING A SONY GUY, sony has been known for years to count manufactured units ass sales, it was going on since the ps1 days to hype up e3 crowds and such, it then went to what was in the warehouse not even shipped to distribution centers yet and counted those as sales... sony is a greasy shady company when it comes to numbers, dont believe the hype sony guys

bull i dont believe that for one second. you can if you would like though- i short sony stock every chance i get- just bought 2000 shares of msft at 23.60 i am up big on that and gonna hold and sell 20 calls for the 26 dollar strike price and with them profits buy some puts on sony, just in time for earnings

Well all i know is 360 just this week surpassed PS3 in the entire EMEAA area (Europe, middle east, aust, africa ) which includes the UK...  I think it'll be a tight race in this area, but right now the 360 slim is causing the Xbox 360 to outpace the PS3 again.. by the end of this year it looks like the 360 will outsell the PS3 for this years only sales.. right now the PS3 is still ahead, but it was WAY AHEAD, not its about maybe 6 weeks ahead in yearly sales.. So by end of year 360 will increase it overall lead over PS3 by 6 million consoles..

Don't take my word for it...take Sony's investment details.   These must be filed with the SEC so they can't exactly lie about their reported unit sales method.

The 360 is outselling the PS3 by 2:1 this year in Europe, and the PS3 only has 60% of 360 total sales there.

It's never going to happen, it's like saying PS3 will overtake 360 in Americas, or 360 will overtake PS3 in Japan. Just not going to happen.

I dont think xbox 360 will have a lead of 6 million by the end of this year. GT5 will sell consoles im sure. And sony has to be dumb not to bundle it with consoles. I think 360 will end up having a lead of maybe 4.5-5.5 million by the end of this year. And 5 million difference is not much anyways. Lets face it 360 came out a year earlier so it is natural for it to be ahead throughout this gen. The wii is a special case because well it was cheaper and was the "cool" thing to buy.

oh wait im going off topic. Anyways it might be possible. Blu ray sales are increasing every year. The ps3 price is decreasing every 1-2 years. Ps3 so far has the best line up for 2011. I dont think the 360 will even come close to the number of quality games ps3 will have next year. All those games might actually sell a bunch of consoles. Imagine the PS3 going $200-$250 next year too! Either way people who don't own a ps3 will be missing out. Luckily i own both 360/ps3 :)
