As of April 1, 2007, Sony began using the industry standard method of counting units sold to customers (meaning retailers and wholesalers).

bull i dont believe that for one second. you can if you would like though- i short sony stock every chance i get- just bought 2000 shares of msft at 23.60 i am up big on that and gonna hold and sell 20 calls for the 26 dollar strike price and with them profits buy some puts on sony, just in time for earnings

Don't take my word for it...take Sony's investment details.   These must be filed with the SEC so they can't exactly lie about their reported unit sales method.
