there are over 130 million DS in the world. There are 43 million 360s. That's 3 times more DS handhelds. Plus, Reach costs at least 60$, because there are the 80$ and 150$ editions. Pokemon is 30 or 40 dollars. So yeah Pokemon might sell more, but Reach has made more money because it is more expensive, and it has a larger install base, i mean already 10% of 360 owners have Reach. Pokemon has to sell 13 million to reach the 10% mark. So basically, pokemon doesn't beat halo by selling more. Numbers aren't everything.

What about if Pokemon production costs are less than Halo Reach? Some developers and even Nintendo have said that they need less copies sold on Wii to make profit if you compare at HD consoles. Same DS vs HD.
About the second, The Legend of Zelda The Wind Waker sold 4.4 mill in a install base of 22mill Game Cubes. 20% of the GC owners have it. So, Wind Waker made more profit than GTA:San Andreas that sold over 18mill on PS2 with a 15% mark?

Does the sale of each one count toward the total? If it does, then yes it is two games vs one, especially since a lot of fans will buy both versions. Doesn't really matter that the differences between the two games are minimal. Not really that big a deal to me either way.

The fact that the game only has one save file probably resulting in more people buying a second copy than the fact that there are two different versions of the game. I know 8 people who do that each time, the same thing happened with DQ IX as well.

I just realized but, isn't Pokemon counted as 2 titles or are we combining them now? If we're combining them I think Pokemon may already have the record but as single games I don't think it is as strong.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

B&W count as the same game.
If you you want to split both, you also have to split the various Halo Reach Editions that are out.
It should do well in USA and EMEAA, over 4M is very likely, so I think the top stop will be out of Halo's Reach.
Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,
mario maker
new 3ds
yoshi woolly world
zelda U
majora's mask 3d

Not quite, Halo Reach is the same game for every edition; I was told that Pokemon B&W, like the previous games, each contain a number of different pokemon, along with many similar ones, in them. They are also sold as two separate games, even though they are tracked as one.
Guess it is similar to how each iteration of the DS is still considered a DS as well as the slim models or other consoles. It really just depends on how you want to argue it.
You guys do realize you're discussing a point that won't be seen until sometime early next year, right? The numbers for the rest of the world aren't coming until B&W actually release outside of Japan, which will probably be around March. There's going to be a bit of a wait before it's discovered true or not.
