1. HD-DVD

2. CH-DVD (or whatever they call it)

3. Custom Blu Ray.

4. Roll your own.

5. Cartridges/digital download.

For some reason... I doubt those games absolutely required BluRay.

Avatar sold well because the appeal to that movie is the presentation. I believe BluRay only accounts for about 10% of sales. To make matters worse, digital downloads and streaming are starting to become major competition.

MS could always make thier own disc as Nintendo always has.

As far as movies go, they can keep pushing downloads and streaming. I assume those will be more common in the coming years.

m$ doesnt need blu-ray this gen, but they certainly need something equal to or far greater in terms of storage for the next xbox or some dev's wont make games for it, due to storage issues and more disks.
