BioWare make serious and concerted efforts to listen to their fans and wider internet feedback. They're one of the best companies in the business about this sort of thing.

The changes wont' affect sales so much as the experience of playing the game.

If that was true  they would have fixed the bugs that riddle the console versions of this game instead of pumping out more and more DLC for the game. There are now bugs in the main game that are caused by the DLC and bugs in the DLC itself.  But they dont care and thats is eveident because there are no fixes for them yet, despite these problems littering their online website forums. Because of these problems,  Dragon Age will never be more than a decent game, and it will never reach the status of a game like Oblivion.

I am talking about features.

They are historically bad about bugs, yea, so it has always been.

Then how does that make them a great gaming company if they have games with tons of features but riddled with bugs to the point you can barely finish them at times?  And then ignore those bugs and just pump out more and more DLC which also breaks the game.

"About this sort of thing" was the qualifying part of that statement. They're great about listening to their fans concerning features.

Well I understand that,  and it wasnt entirely directed at you.  It seems to be a common opinion that Bioware is a great developer,  that was really what I was questioning.

It's actually pretty weird that they are gonna change Dragon Age to be more like Mass Effect considering that Dragon Age sold better than Mass Effect 1 or 2. 3.2 million shipped by the end of december.

Yes, because Oblivion doesn't have unfixed bugs.... oh wait XD

Not at the level that Dragon Age has.  The bugs in Oblivion are minor compared to that

Didn't really like Dragon Age. Not bad, but for a company like Bioware I expected WAY more.

OK, I'm not sure how it is on consoles, but I remember Oblivion had loads (and I mean hundreds) of bugs on PC, including some quest destroying bugs (thieves guild arc I think). And Bethesda are just as bad as Bioware for patching. In fact, on PC most of the true fixes and patches are actually from users... same as Dragon Age actually.

They're like two peas at opposing ends in a WRPG pod.

Yeah it's seeming like they turning Dragon Age into a Mass Effect: Thedas edition. I love Mass Effect. I have both games on console and PC but it seems like they are giving PC gamers the shaft to make Dragon Age work on Consoles. Giving DA2 it's one "Commander Shepard" via Hawk has advantages but it also has disadvantages. Part of the appeal of the original Dragon Age was having the multitude of perspectives on the world via the various origins. That aspect will be lost in Dragon Age 2.

well this is looking to be my most successful thread in some time lol. And all because people played the console version and complained so they are console ifyingmass effecting DA2, oh well. I couldn't even finish the game my self (I do plan to) it just didn't really grab me.
