if they couldn't get the funding to make if for the wii, how the hell are they supposed to get the even more funding needed to make it for the hd consoles instead?

Because this is how a lot of third parties think. Spending more money for HD games=good. Spending less money for Wii games=bad.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Not just that, but they're having a hard time tapping into the Wii market (usually as the result of half-assed efforts, yes Capcom, I'm looking at you with your RE).
