I was at EB-Games (Gamestop) today because my friend was in the mall and he called me about Uncharted 2 and I so happened to be in the same mall so I went down and met him there. I had to really look to find Move anywhere, it was on the shelf with hardly any promotion at all. It was just a couple of dummy boxes and that was all.

Anyway as an aside I got him to buy the used copy of Uncharted 2 for $48 rather than the new one for $59 because it was cheaper and he had a longer period to return the game if he didn't like it or finished it quickly.

*raised eyebrow* Ah, well played sir.  About 20 less moniez going to Sony.  Well done.  lol just kiddin, I'm surprised U2 still cost 48, wtf.

Its because the bastards always cut open the packs anyway and you can never tell if you're buying a used game for new prices. Whats the difference in buying a game 'new' which has already been opened by the store?

Edit: New prices are $130 NZD if you're wondering you US centric person you!

I went into gamestop yesterday to preorder Dance Central. I asked how Move did, and the sales guys said they only had 3 people for the midnight launch. He mentioned that it wasn't selling well, (New Jersey store). I also asked him how many preorders there were for Kinect, and he mentioned that there were currently 47 - not inlcluding console bundles.

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

Just anecdotal for me in the SF, CA, USA area.  I went to my local best buy (1 of 2 in the city) and they had 1 320GB PS3 bundle left, 1 $99 bundle left (which was bought within 1 minute of me being there) and no stand alone move controllers left.  The aisle had room for about 30 of them but the rack was all gone, I took a picture it was barren.

Luckily I had an employee check the back where they had about 5 stand-alone moves there, so I was able to pick one up to go with my $99 bundle.  Seems to be selling decently here at least as this one best buy location was basically sold out within 1 day.

Well I bought one (controller nav controller sports champions gun thing)

That's all I can help, but from where it is in the online charts, it should have a decent opening at the very least, but Sony hasn't really started advertising yet, at least in the UK. The only ads I have seen have been in Metro, a free daily newspaper in London, which also claimed inside that Sony had just unveiled the Move and that the EU release date was unknown

Funny.

Pepole with MS stats in their sig show negative ancedotal evidence.

Pepole with PSN stats show positive evidence.

I say wait for ioi :)

LOL did you expect the other way around? ofcourse 360 ppl will give negative evidence.

Bet you the same crowd will give postive kinect evidence near release, infact there's already some doing it and this isn't even kinect thread LOL!

And at least you got somebody to play Uncharted, Sony has made enough money from it, but everyone needs to play it

He's already complaining about not being able to play it. Something about an update which gets stuck halfway on his PS3. But I do understand your sentiment. I'll try to get him to play Heavy Rain next, I want to expand his horizons.

Oi! Binary Solo!!! I'll build the computer for free if you give Heavy Rain in exchange!

P.S. As another anecdote. This same guy was considering a PS3 vs Xbox 360 and the thing which tipped him over the edge was Move and the fact the PS3 has Blu Ray. Though he hasn't got it yet. So technically Move may be considered a system seller here though none of the Sony games in particular nor the Microsoft games was of any great specific interest to him.

I know its amazon... but it is sold out on amazon UK which does mean at the very least it is selling okay. Take into account is is still available at other major UK online retailers

Two anecdotals from the UK

Major Superstore in S London

Selling but fairly subdued. Loads left in stock according to assistant but little or no advertising.

Added to this the store is massive and had a very large allocation of stock.

Supermarket in NW London. Sold out but apparently only had a small allocation (less than ten starter packs). Again no advertising whatsoever.

Worryingly a lot of the Superstores are only selling the starter pack.

Might pop into the local video games stores and ask how things are going tomorrow.

I've seen a similar situation in NW England.  I got my Move controllers at Midnight on launch from my local ASDA (massive superstore), queuing behind just a couple of others (I've been in a queue of around 50 people for the midnight launch of CoD WaW at this same location).  I've been back in since and they still haven't even put the product out on the shelves!  Apparently they have still been selling "well" regardless, although the assistant didn't quantify how many "well" means.

Today I went into my local Tesco Extra (another massive superstore) and picked up the charging station.  This store did have the product merchandised (although in a poor location - I almost didn't see the display).  There were about half a dozen starter packs left (looked like the space would have held 20 - 30 units) 2 or 3 Nav controllers but no Move controllers left.  Sports Champions was sold out and there was only one or two copies of the other releases left.

For those of you outside the UK, Tesco and ASDA are both the same format as Walmart.
