Dynasty Warriors 7 is on its way and will be a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Tecmo Koei announced at the Tokyo Game Show.

The publisher failed to mention a release date for the latest game in its hack-and-slash franchise, or what it will add to the decade-old Dynasty Warriors formula.

Dynasty Warriors 6 came out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008 and won a handsome 8/10 from Eurogamer on release.

I wating so much for this game!!! Hope for it be exclusive worldwide, and KOEI used all the capacity of Blu-Ray disc.

Well it makes most of its sales just on the PS3 version in Japan, so it won't effect sales very much

I loved the old Dynasty Warriors, so I just hope it will be as "good" as the old ones were

I guess in Japan yes;.outside of Japan not sure...

The DW fanbase is kind of annoyed every system gets some exclusive games rather annoying if you want to collect all DW games.

AFAIK it's coming. AeriaGames seems to be handling it, there's even a sign-up site for the beta already.

Anyway, I've been waiting for this announcement for quite a while now. DW6 did many things wrong but it also made the battlefield feel more alive and dynamic. I hope this one fixes what was wrong in DW6, at least mostly. But I guess that's not how KOEI handles things, they prefer to release a flawed product and then an "expansion" for that product to fix the flaws in the original products. That way to get the best experience, you must buy two (2) games instead of just one.

But still, I'm eagerly waiting. Also, exclusivity is good.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Seems odd they are going to leave 360 profits on the table. Its not like the series gets huge sales on the PS3 a lone.

Oh well, fans of mindless hack n' slash action still have N3 and the soon to be released Kingdom Under Fire 2 on 360.

it's excluvie to PS3 in Japan but on both PS3 and 360 outside Japan.



MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

No developer has the resources to do that unless it's all cutscenes.
