I came across this site when it was version 3.0. lol

Around the Network

I actually like the current version the most.  It started off kinda rocky but it's really grown on me.

Well, I've been here since at least 3, and I think 3, 4, and 5 all have their attractions.  Generally, I think the older versions handled many features better, but the newer ones have more features, and there are, to be sure, some features that improve.

But one thing I will never, ever forget is that post history has gotten MASSIVELY worse in 4 vs. 3, and IMO in 5 vs. 4 as well.  The way it works now, you can hardly even see any text unless you open the link in a new tab/window, especially if you quoted someone; and I don't think it can show pictures whatsoever.  The 3.0 version had a scrolling box you could view the whole post with.  It was like ten thousand percent easier to search through someone's post history.

Maybe there's some reason it got changed and can't change back, or maybe it's simply that few people care about the post history and there are a lot of things to fix and they always come up with a new version of the site whenever they get close to fixing all the problems from the last update   But I care about this feature.  And I remember.

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

Amen, brother.  I used to spend a lot of time reading older threads/posts.  Maybe even more time than I spent posting.  Now, it's next to impossible to find an old thread or post--even my own posts!  That's one thing I hope they rectify in the near future.

3.0 and 4.0 are the best.

The current layout is not bad but has way too much other stuff which is kinda...meh.

Sales data forum = why most people come here...and 3.0/4.0 had that streamlined on the main page.

I agree. While 5.0 aims to provide a more defined experience, I actually it makes the site lose focus.

I would rather to visit a site with a few features but they all work well and serve their purposes instead of a site with a lot of featues but most of them don't work or improve user experience.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

3.0 is the best

But war... war never changes

I started lurking since before Wii came out...Hell, I think I was lurking since it was called "Revolution".

Didn't join until Sept. 07 though.

I liked the nintendo blue 3.0 the most though.
