Well ok, I'll admit that comment was a bit premature. SMG2 is certainly deserving of those sales, it's an incredible game. But you can't deny that the overall trend does not look too rosy ATM.

Hey, there are seven Wii games higher on the list than Metroid: Other M. That one's not selling due to it's own abundant failings.

Not the very moment, but as soon as Sakamoto mentioned the phrase "maternal instincts" it was. Which was in an interview shortly after the announcement.
