Forums - General - Laws of Physics Vary Throughout the Universe

Ego is not something that can be overcome easily, but science does change eventually and does self correct itself. Whether it happens when the old guard dies or before that doesn't matter, the point is science does take in new theories eventually. If it didn't we wouldn't be living in a world thats so much more advanced then it was even one hundread years ago.

Well. Lets wait till its been peer reviewed. However if its true, it'll revolutionise the way we see the universe.

True or not the peer review process will rip the shit out of it.

There aren't Scientific revolutions so much as evolutions.  Waiting for the old guard to die out.  The whole "scientists only goal is to find the truth is right and right bull for most of them.  It's about them being right.

I'd be shocked if said viewpoint has advanced enough.

Reading this made me sad. In afterthought, however, it makes sense. We are still humans, bound by our desires.

Yeah, i dunno.  Peer Review is basically just the forerunner to an internet message board.  No one likes being wrong.

It reminds me of an old Einstein tale, where he was positive he was right, back before he was famous, you know back when he was an amaetuer scientist, and while he was... he'd done his calculations wrong,  he had planned a big display to show off he was right, and luckily something came up and he couldn't go through with it... he didn't get to announce it.

Later realzing his error he was happy because he realized if he had went through with it, his career would of been over and it'd be 50 years before anyone took his theory seriously again.

This is madness! Patcher doesn't approve that!

Above: still the best game of the year.

I can confirm that different galaxies have differentiating Laws of Physics.

I say this with 100% certainty, which was found through all of my intensive research in this field. I graduated at the top of my class with a 242-star honors from SMG University, where I graduated with a Masters in the field of astro-physics and world-saving badassery.

We have a threadwinner here.

Physics is theoretical claptrap. You need a PHD in Physics to even have a decent amount of knowledge of that complex scientific field as well as an IQ in excess of 150.

How can the scientists prove Universal Physics Laws do not apply through out the whole universe?

Newton, Einstein, Liebniz, Hawking and all the other famous Physics/Calculus geniuses contributions towards science/math have been  tested and debated over a long period of time by many academics.

Stephen Hawking has made Physics understandable for the guy on the street.

BTW: One academic paper does not prove beyond a reasonable doubt the Universal Physics/Math Laws do not apply to the universe,

I've read in articles and books which discussed this idea before and teh people who have suggested it, and nothing's ever came from it. If in a few months/years it appears as though these guys can back up their work, then so be it, we have to rethink a lot of our theories of physics. But I'm not holding my breath.
