I believe he's wondering how, when the PS3 version of the game has fallen from 10th to 17th place, the Wii version has managed to rapidly rise from 43rd to 14th place.

And I think it's because the Wii version of the game was restocked in stores this week.

LOL @ Metroid. Bombed, like I predicted.

What were you expecting Metroid to sell if it is not bombed?

Above: still the best game of the year.

Expected numbers for Metroid. Can't believe people are calling it a bomb... i guess they had really high expectations for this game... in japan O.o

Yep, Wii is for casuals and doesn't sell hardcore software either ...

fixed. And by hardcore I mean games that tap very slightly on a casual audience, for example : not many games on the Wii.

it's probably due to the stigma of being developed as an FPA for nearly a decade; the first three in the series actually sold quite well. Other M will probably sell just fine elsewhere though

Good numbers for Metroid considering its typical sales.

An INCREASE for Wii Party is excellent.

And an AMAZING hold for Super Mario Galaxy 2.

And to top it off Wii>PS3 YTD another week. That's gotta frustrate a lot of people around here.

Actually that really puts it into proper perspective.   Relative to other Metroid releases in Japan it's sales are strong.

Famitsu numbers are more complete.

lol

Biggest Metroid launch in Japan since Fusion (only behind by 4k). I guess almost every Metroid game bombed.

best opening week since fusion (how is fusion that old????? that makes me feel old - i remember reading the previews like it was only a couple of years ago!!!).

considering fusion was on a handheld too and other m is a console offering, its even better considering the Japanese penchant for the handhelds. particularly back then when the gba had no real competition.

lets see if it has enough legs to top 100k...
