Forums - Sales - Super Mario Galaxy Vs. Halo 3 Sales

What game do you think will end up selling more copies? Super Mario Galaxy, or Halo 3? I think Super Mario Galaxy will sell more, for I think that more people will own a Wii, than an Xbox 360. I also think that there will be a higher percentage of Wii owners, who will own Super Mario Galaxy, than Xbox 360 owners, who will own Halo 3. What do you think?

SMG will still sell more lifetime. Not really a tough question though.

Simply for the fact that SMG will sell multi-millions in Japan alone gauantees that it will outsell Halo 3 life time. Its almost not a fair comparison.

SMG should have better lifetime sales in Japan and Other. Halo will likely win in America. Overall, if Wii sells 20-30 million more systems like I think, SMG should beat Halo.

currently playing: Desktop Tower Defense (PC), Puzzle Quest (DS), Trauma Center New Blood (Wii), Guitar Hero III (Wii), Ghost Squad (Wii), Actraiser (SNES), Donkey Kong County (SNES), The Legend of Zelda (NES), Kirby's Adventure (NES)

will play next: Paper Mario (N64), Golden Axe II (Sega), NiGHTS (Wii)

Its fair because they are both flagship games for their respective system. SMG will win hands down in lifetime sales, just wait a year or two down the track when Nintendo start sell smg/wii bundle.

This thread has already been made, so there's absolutely no reason to start up another thread on the subject.

You're using the word "whom" wrong.

Whom = Noun

Who = Pronoun

An easy way to remember: if there is a verb acting on the noun, it is a pronoun.

Examples:  Who owns this? <-- In this sentence, the verb "own" is acting on the noun "who."

To whom does this belong? <-- In this sentence, the verb "does" is acting on the noun "this."

Who did what to whom?

My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):

Wii : 50 million

360: 28 million

PS3: 24 million

These predictions were made on January 3rd and won't be revised

 Here's the thing. Super Mario Galaxy is the best game on the best-selling console. In reviews, it easily defeats Halo 3 and (most of the time) the better games are also the better seller. The Wii has shown unprecidented demand and all those people who buy Wiis are going to want to buy games.. thus Super Mario Galaxy will sell very well for a very long time.

 Let us not forget that Halo 3 is only a few months old and is already being outsold by (from all accounts, I haven't played it so I can't say anything) a really crappy Mario game, Mario Party 8.

it doesn’t matter if the SMG beats Halo 3 or not. The game will still end up being one of the best selling games in all platforms plus sell more then its predecessor. I think that all that matters.

Could somebody please come up with a new and interesting discussion, its always the same.
