No. The HD versions are now the full Wii version (all modes) online.

Oh wow. If that's the case and they charge $15 for that and $50 for the Wii version, then they're crackheads.

Who? EA or the Wii owners that are going to buy it?

Selling it as a $50 Wii game hypes it more for HD consumers in my opinion. Also, its being used as an incentive to get NBA Live/Elite off the ground.

Regarding its being an incentive, didn't you read the part a few posts back where it was said that this was no longer the case and it will be sold as a standalone? (or maybe I misunderstand what you are saying here)

Well its being sold as a standalone and it still appears to be free with NBA Elite 11.

Also, I thought people who buy NBA Elite 11 will have it before its released on XBLA and PSN. Did this change?

Yes that changed, because now the NBA Elite 11 was delayed to 2011 and the release of the HD version will happen before that.

What nobody knows is IF that version will be released on XBLA and PSN or Retail, or if will be complete or only classic mode (with online) as previously define. And of course no idea on the price.

What would make most sense is to just release the full game with online on the HD systems.   Yes Wii owners will hate them for it, because they'd promised an exclusive, Wii version sales will suffer as any multi-console owner will get it on HD (myself included, it's not like motion adds anything to this game) but they'll make a lot more money in the end and isn't that what they're in business for?

Of course, they could just add online to the Wii version, delay it if they have to and release all three together.  Then everyone will be - somewhat - happy.

If it was announced multiplat from the beginning, no one would be pissed right now.  Well, maybe a few people would be pissed about online, but it would be nothing like what it is now.

EA should have just kept their big mouths shut earlier in development.

im sorry but some of you are not getting the game because it went multi???? I could see if the no online thing bothered people but, that was rumored even b4 the game going multi rumor came about.  Someone brought up Dead Space b4 but that games been out for a while and was a certified flop. Waaaaaay b4 the Move version was even announced. If Jam is going to be on PSN/Live then I have no problem getting it. The Wii version can keep its extra mode, its not worth the extra 25-35 bucks

I'm guessing the missing NBA parts on HD consoles will come as DLC :D

@fufinu  I didnt even think about that. If that happens maybe Wii owners should be pissed at that point

Funny how in the same breath you say "Wii version can keep its extra mode, its not worth the extra 25-35 bucks" and yet you say you don't undertand Wii owners being upset

People will not be getting the game not because it went Multi, but because it went multi with features the Wii version doesn't have and for what appears to be a much lower price point. And while no online was indeed not a surprise, it was ok when no other version existed with online, but no longer ok when a version with online has appeared, what's hard to understand about that?

Regarding Dead Space, the reason it was brought up was not because of the MOVE version  (which surprise surprise, will cost like a downloadable and not the full $50 Wii players had to pay) but because it was another example of EA messing with their Wii audience and not owning up to it. You might not recall but there was a HUGE backlash that happened all over the Internet when it turned out Extraction would be on rails, many months before it started selling. So it was a known flop for anyone with eyes in their heads from the moment it was announced to be on rails. And yet EA continued on and actually used it as their justification to stop any "hardcore" games for the Wii.

And now this is happening again - EA is coming out with  a game that has caused a backlash within its target audience, will probably flop (at least relatively, though not as bad as Extraction) because of everything they did, and they will again say it's the Wii audience fault. So in THAT regard it's like Extraction.

Who plays online on the Wii anyways? No offense to anyone that actually does here...

According to NPD and several other research groups, a very sizable portion of the Wii userbase does.  In fact, it wasn't until quite recently that the PS3 overtook Wii for total online play time.

but surely the wii online will be conected or is it actual game time? if it is then it can only be on a handful of titles mario kart, brawl etc
