Now when it comes to video game villains or villains in general (though I reasonably assume that this topic is about the former and not the latter) I tend to think of monsters or the "warlord" type (such as Ganondorf) as being markedly more bad-ass than the effiminate pretty-boys that tend tto be represented by certain elements of video game players in these discussions

I've already mentioned Ganon, but another of my picks for most bad-ass looking villains is probably any of the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus.

The best part is he's a lot bigger than this picture lets on; the player character looks bigger than he is due to foreshortening. Crazy!

I'm not sure, whether or not Grom Hellscream qualifies as "a villain."

On one hand, he killed Cenarius, a pooload of Alliance soldiers, and almost doomed his race to serve the Burning Legion forever.

On the other hand, though, he killed Mannoroth, and subsequently saved the rest of his race from the shit the he had gotten them into.

Nevertheless, he sure is a bad-ass.
