This link explains all

Comet are probably the biggests eller of TV's in the UK...  this list is of 3d capable TV's that they stock.

Out of 30 sets only 2 are Sony, 20 are Samsung.

the samsung 46inch LE46C750 (highly rated) is £1299

the sony 46inch?.... £2199

what would you do?

Sony have been pulling that crap for years in the electronics sector, put a big price tag on and pretend it's "quality".  Thankfully the buying public have been educated by the likes of Samsung, LG, etc.

LG is very small in Germany compared to Samsung (obviously) Sony and Panasonic. It is on Sharp levels, maybe even smaller.

So I was very surprised to see how big they are worldwide.

I don't know anybody with a LG TV so I can't say anything about the quality.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I'm dying to try LGs passive glasses 3D display.Yes, it won't be 1080p per eye, but I wonder if its as good as movie theaters...

Makes sense.  The best image quality I've always seen between comparable sets is always Panasonic or Sony but Samsung and LG are damn close and cheaper to boot.

The difference is negligible.  Sony arent any better than the others imo. Panasonic do offer some better sets as do Philips.

Doesn't 'damn close' imply negligable?  At the higher price end though you do start to see Sony and Panasonic pull more clearly ahead, particularly Panasonic IMHO.  Philips are also good but weren't in the four mentioned in th OP hence I didn't bother mentioning them either.

Kow, why if there is the remotest hint someone might be saying something from Sony is a bit better than something else are you always on it?  Can't be good for your blood pressure.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

These companies seems to be able to offer premium quality products at a much better price thus the reason they lead. Samsung is just better right now at everything than Sony.

I thought this was a well known fact. Maybe not...

I have a 47' LG TV with LG surround sound system and it's amazing, really high quality stuff. LG's great.

The TV's I'm usually interested in when I go to Best Buy are either Samsung or LG.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

Nissan Micro > Aston Martin DB9 (in terms of sales) (assuming here) lol

LG TV's looks cheap as ..

The LG DVD burner I bought last year is the best burner I've ever owned, much better than the Plextor and Pioneer ones I've owned.
