i would classify myself as a veteran/ all rounder/ collector. Veteran as in my first machine's where C64 and Amiga from there just about every mainstream console and hand held known to man, All rounder in that i like games from just about all genres some more than others granted but i don't buy games based on genre , Collector because i own approx 2,000 games and tend to keep about 90% of the games i have purchased over the years.

Research shows Video games help make you smarter, so why am I an idiot

The One That Thinks Platformers and RPGs Are The Best Genres

Oh, and an Ethical Gamer I suppose. I never ever use cheats or glitches to help me in a game. I was even revolted for using cheap tactics to beat Seymour Flux in FFX.

Except for the Steam part, this sounds like me. I collect consoles and games anymore. I'll probably never get around to playing half of them, but I can't tell you which half, because I can choose to play a game at a whim.
