Sporting a vibrant 3D-graphics engine, StarCraft II once again centers on the clash between the protoss, terrans, and zerg, with each side deploying legions of veteran, upgraded, and new unit types. Unparalleled online play for StarCraft II is available through a new version of Battle.net®, Blizzard Entertainment's world-renowned gaming service. The solo campaign for StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty continues the epic saga where it left off in StarCraft: Brood War®. The story line chronicles the exploits of marshal-turned-rebel-leader Jim Raynor and features both familiar faces and new heroes. Players are able to tailor the experience, choosing their own mission path and selecting technology and research upgrades to suit their playing style throughout the 29-mission campaign. Several challenge-mode mini-games are also included, with focused goals designed to ease players into the basics of multiplayer strategies.

PC gaming is so dead! Only 3 million, lol.

I'm replaying brood war campaigns before I buy this. 3 million though... wow!

yeah but they didn't get included into our sales data...

We had 1.8m day one, with about 500k download sales and our first week sales are around 1.3m.

Still a bit weird since that means it only sold very few copies the other day. Maybe ioi got some better data afterwards.

And in korea the game can be played with so many different ways that it's probably pretty much impossible to track its sales. You get free access with WoW account, you can play the game in cybercafés for dollar per hour,  you can buy 30 day ticket or 1 day ticket or of course whole game like here....

PC gaming has indeed died. It also doesn't make developers any money, costs too much to make, too easy to pirate, and is just overall a money sink for any company....

I don't like these news. It's selling too much.
