Forums - Sony - First Move Game Scores are Out?!

Dammit, IT ATE MY POST!  What I was trying to say was:

Having played both Sports Champions and Start the Party, I'd honestly reverse the scores.  While neither game is really stellar in my opinion, at least Start the Party tries some wacky new stuff, like the augmented reality haircuts and flyswatting and such.

Sports Champions is a game without a single original idea, and I don't know why so many people are defending it.  They took apart Wii Sports piece by piece, replaced each piece with something else, and then rebuilt Wii Sports with all the new pieces.  So it's basically Wii Sports, in HD, with the Move, but without Nintendo's polish, presentation, or personality, and without Miis.  Now you get a random guy with an afro instead of your own avatars of Jack Black, Robocop, Chewbacca, and Hitler.

But now it's getting reviews better than Deca Sports or Carnival Games.  I guess it's riding the hype of the new controller?  Do all reviewers have to pick one Move game and one Kinect game to pretend they're in love with?

or maybe..just maybe the game play people may like in a non Nintendo game that's Sony's own..get it it's not the Wii..this party game is not Wii sport's..why is it many Nintendo fans try to keep saying "ol its just Wii sport's in HD?"

is that a bad thing...but..but Nintendo created Wii sport's at least Sony could come up with somthing origional...ok we get it..you do not think SPORTS CHAMPOINS IS THAT GREAT OF A GAME! GOTCHA

HEY LETS SAY EVERY GAME COPY'S NINTENDO WOULD THAT BE BETTER FOR YOU..lol

it's pretty sad that you cannot get the idea that maybe just maybe people may want to ply a game that may be LIKE..the key word is LIKE another system's game but guess what Sports champions is not Wii sports no matter how much you want it to be it's not it's it's own game.

please get over it. live outside the Nintendo created all thing's gaming bubble.

So let me get this straight...  What you want is games that are very very very similar to Wii Sports, but are made by Sony instead of Nintendo, Konami, 2K, or Ubisoft?

no what i want is games that have their own experiences that are not someone elses game..which is alway's the case.

you and other's are the one's who is saying that it's just a Clone of a Wii game.

which sports champion's is not, so why does it bother you so much that other gamer's may find sports champions a fun an entertaining game that has ITS OWN EXPERIENCE that is not a Wii game?

Get that it's not Wii sport's. it is not Wii sports no matter how much you and other's try to lump it in as..nintendo created Wii sports .

Sony created sports champions they both have their own unique experiences.

how hard is that to understand?

It's hard to understand because I've played Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics, Deca Sports, Deca Sports 2, Deca Sports 3, Carnival Games, Carnival Games 2, Rayman Raving Rabbids, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, Sports Champions, Start the Party, and several others I can't even remember at the moment, and I can honestly tell you that there's nothing unique about new collections of sports minigames in 2010.

hey that's great you played all those games congrats, Maybe here is a smart IDEA stop thinking that Sports Champion's was first done on the Wii!, because guess what it was not first done on the Wii, why because Sports champions was first done on the PS3 and hello it's not a Wii game!

for pete's sake how hard is that to understand?

so let me get this straight?

so you have used (2) MOTION CONTROLLED Wiimotes at the same time TO CONTROL THE ARCHERY GAME for THE Wii?

so how was it?

just like you can use a second Wii motion plus controller at the same time to block a shot aimed at one of your leg's in a certain spot that you need to block that shot with another motion controller once again at the same time in a game?

Yes I have used two motion controllers at once to play 1:1 archery on the Wii.  Over a year ago.  It has moving targets and hidden targets worth all sorts of bonus points.  It's great fun.  I'm sure you'll have a blast with the archery controls.  It's also really fun in Sports Champions.  But it's not a new unique experience like you keep saying.  Watch Nintendo's archery demo at E3 2008, and then Sony's archery demo at E3 2009, and then you'll see how unique and amazing it really is.  I think they even hired the same actors and special effects guys to do the commercials.

Twilight Princess had two motion controllers in 2006, one for your sword and one for your shield, but they were gesture-based instead of 1:1.  The 1:1 swordplay was in Wii Sports Resort and it was amazing, and Red Steel 2 had a really great combo between 1:1 movement and gesture-based special attacks, and full 1:1 sword-and-shield action is coming out with The Skyward Sword, which will be a full-fledged action/adventure game instead of just 1-on-1 fights in an arena.  Sports Champions DID beat Zelda to the punch with the 1:1 sword-and-shield gameplay, and that's pretty awesome.  Zelda's 1:1 sword and shield gameplay was announced years ago, and Sony rushed out a minigame to beat them to the market.  Kudos to them.

Also, the arena fights in Sports Champions are probably the coolest part of the game, due to the cool jumping attacks you can do.  I'll give them one point for originality there.  Those were fun.

what your saying is not the same thing, once again..that is not the same thing..i said two motion wii motes...you just said you tryed it with TWO motion controller's...i asked you if you tryed the Wii archery with 2 motion controlled wiimotes:  The Nunchuk is not a Wii mote

that is not a second Wiimote...so once again have you ever played any game on the Wii that used (2) Wii motes? instead of The Nunchuk and a Wiimote?

You're confusing the what with the how. Playing an archery game with two controllers is playing an archery game with two controllers. It's irrelevant what the controllers are.

It's like saying that a PS3/360 game is completely different between consoles because on the PS3 you use a DS3 and on the 360 you use the XBox pad.

Hell, when I show my family the archery game, I'm going to tell them it works in a similar way to the one they played in Wii Sports Resort, because it'll make it seem easier then.

How am i confusing the what with the How, i asked a very simple Question. there is no confusion there it's very simple..the fact that he and now you are both avoiding the Question, because you already know the answer..Allready.

HAS there ever been on the Wii a game that made use of TWO Wiimotes to be used in a single game by a single person to control the interaction by the player with the  Wii game?

I do not agree one bit for example: the Nunchuk does not tell the wii where to place a block to an incoming attack  in a 3d area an also it does not have the full extent of the Wiimotes sensor's nor the Wiimote camera so it could not relay that information back to the sensor bar like the Wiimote or Wiimotion plus does.

think about that for a sec..Thus it would indeed make it relevant which if you used (2) Wiimotes at the same time as opposed to just a Wiimote and a nunchuck. Better yet would that archery game be good with just 2 nunchuc motion controller's instead of the Wiimote and a Nunchuck..you said it did not matter if we used just Two motion controller's?

if you arch your shot like you do in sports champion the Wiimote is the one that has the only way of telling the sensor bar the exact position of  where your bow is placed. but not the ARROW..look at that vid as a prime example  he cannot arch the Wiimotion as you would the move without effecting it's accuracy in a more angled shot, but if you had a second Wii mote it most likely would allow a more angle to his shot.

And once again Has enyone played a single game on the Wii that used (2) Wiimotes at once instead of the Wiimote and a Nunchuck?
