@SuperChunk

I think that you're making the mistake in thinking that people who might be buying Sports Champions already have access to or own a Wii, and therefore have access to Wii Sports Resort (seeing as you're a Wii/PS3 owner). If that was the case, then yes, I'd be hesitant to buy Sports Champions as well, seeing as they have many similar gameplay experiences.

But there's plenty of PS3 owners who don't have primary access to a Wii and want to enjoy a solid motion controlled experience. Sports Champions can offer them this, and I only see this as a good thing.

Agreed...My family does not have a Wii. I am buying a move bundle day 1...Might get 2, one for my Ps3, and then one for the family room if it proves to be successful in terms of one thing, and this is the one thing I want....The games, guys, it's what we should all be looking at...as a stand-alone item...I don't care if Champions is similar to Wii Sports...it's not Wii Sports, and I don't own Wii Sports...

Regardless, if you want some impressions from people whom actually seem to be enjoying the move, and aren't already pretty biased on sony experiences...Check out the 30 or so Kotaku articles on it...and stop talking about some ratings One company has given a few games.

I was not speaking to everyone else in the world. I was talking about how I see Move in relation to myself. For those who only own a PS3, then yes there is value in what is being offered as they don't already own all the same games on Wii. For me, at this piont, it seems like a waste of money and so far I only have one game I'd even consider wanting it for; which isn't enough to plunk down $150 for a 2player move set (assuming I would be ok with DS3 use).

In the end, this one part of six games in Sports Champions does not make it a new experience and it is still just an unoriginal copy of what has already been on Wii for years. I'd still give it a 6 at best.

Just because they share gameplay doesn't mean they are the same. As far as I can tell, Sports Champions has a lot more variety in their archery for example with regards to things to do.

You can't possibly rate a game before you play it...

sure

And if I hadn't said that last sentence, what would your response have been?

Lol, IGN rated Move great but EyePet was the only game over an 8(no rhyme intended). These launch titles seem pretty odd for Sony. They should have put a normal game like Heavy Rain with Move as one to kind of balance it.

19:44:34 Skeezer METAL GEAR ONLINE

19:44:51 ABadClown You're right!

Tumble and Sports Champions are doing pretty well right now (not counting IGN -.-) and these two are exactly the games I've wanted to get at launch.

I'm not writing off Sony. I have always said they make good products. I have many Sony items, TV, HDCamcorder, PS3, etc. I'm just saying that from what I've seen so far, Move provides nothing that I don't already have on my Wii. So, at this piont and time I am leaning to never wanting to purchase a Move set. However, if RE5 is a good game and its Move implentation is like RE4 AND I can see a few more quality titles coming for Move in 2011, then I may just change my mind on that.

But, for these games we've been discussing in this thread, meh, they are clearly the same as many options on Wii and therefore are unoriginal and should be scored as such.

Considering how most games these days are just the same old games from years past with flashier graphics and more content, I think we should just rate everything like crap.

Man, now I really wonder how Uncharted 2 scored so high, or Galaxy 2, or even Fable, how about Smash Bros, or possibly even NSMBWii, that was only done 25 years ago right? How about we also go back in time and rate every single shooter like crap since it is just DOOM or Wolfenstein with flashy graphics and more content?

Smash Bros came out on the N64, Gamerankings score of 78. Then Melee came out. It is Smash Bros with better graphics and more content. Gamerankings score of 90. Brawl came out, not a big difference graphically from Melee, but it adds content. Gamerankings score of 93.

According to your logic Melee should have gotten a 6 and Brawl should have gotten a lot less than a 93.

MKWii scored pretty well, but is it much different from the Mario Karts of old? Yeah you can say you get to use the Wiimote to control it like a steering wheel, but is that so much different from the numerous amount of games, such as Gran Turismo that have been played for a long time with actual steering wheels?

You know, it probably should have scored a bit lower when you think about it...

Your argument is real bad superchunk.

I love how all sorts of people who openly dismissed games such as Wii Sports as casual shovelware they'd never touch, are now falling over themselves to proclaim the glory of games like Sports Champions. XD

Who are these people?

I still love playing Baseball in WiiSports. My enjoyment from it is why I am looking forward to Move support in MLB11 The Show.
