EA Sports would rather make some shitty unlicenced MMA game than make a new Rugby game. >_<

You mean EA rather make a game for a sport that's popular? Truly shocking!

They do this after they said no to UFC?

And Rugby is a very popular sport, it has a bigger international following than both American Football and Hockey.

I imagine a lot of developers passed on UFC. THQ didn't jump on it until UFC became very popular. MMA has become even more popular, now EA wants in.

Hence, Rugby is irrelevant. When that changes major video game developers/publishers will get behind it.

In the mean time go play this... http://www.gamespot.com/wii/sports/rugbyleague3/index.html

That's just insulting. Rugby Union is about 10 times more popular internationally than Rugby League, yet there's a new Rugby League game. The Rugby Union World cup is the 3rd biggest international sporting event in terms of global television audience, only behind the Olympics and the Football (Soccer) World Cup. PLEEEEEASE let the All Blacks win it this time!!! Personally I don't think the structure of Rugby Union lends itself all that well to video games.

@ OP: Dude, I don't think EA made any money off you, so it really doesn't count.

If I did not buy games because a company was not bringing out a game I pined for, I would never buy a game.

Unfortunately, Rugby appears not to be on enough game-buyers' minds for it to be worth making a new game for EA.

And when you can a good game cheap, you should go for it.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

C'mon Codemasters! You would be perfect for this.

Burnout Paradise....

so many better racers out there

Think its to late for a Rugby 2011, it would have been announced by now. If your really desperate for them to make a future one though (ie 2012, 2013 etc) convince another publisher like THQ or Konami to make one, make sure its a top seller, then watch EA get jealous of all that cash and have their sports label make a copycat version.

Think thats your best hope, it worked with UFC

well you'd think new zealand or france devs/publishers would make a Rugby game as thats where its the No 1 team sport,

but please those that say rugby is bigger and the rugby world cup is this and that, there is no way rugby is bigger than baseball,NFL and basketball so stop it,

there would be a rugby game out already if anyone thought they could make money on it,especially if it's the THIRD biggest global event ever... ~-^
