Anything can happen. There are still huge questions whether this latest price cut by Sony will hold sales up (the first one didn't) and how soon MS will cut the price of the 360 and by how much.

Really, any prediction at this point is wild speculation.

In Japan it will happen this Lost Odyssey week or it will never happen.

In others, it's very unlikely but possible. Microsoft do need to break into France, Germany, Spain and Italy to do it though and that will not be very easy to do. I would say that stopping the PS3 in Spain is impossible.

That sounds more like fanboy wishes than actual constructive analysis. The 360 was routinely outselling the PS3 in Others until October when the PS3 received its massive price cut.

Considering that it's almost a lock that the 360 will receive a large price cut before the PS3, the "Other" territories are far from settled. The PS3 definitely has an advantage right now but the 360 will always have the mighty price advantage card... Whenever MS actually decides to play the card, that is. They're really being stingy right now.

When the 360 drops price in EU so will the PS3... stop kidding yourselves with that.

All of you have already had egg on your faces this year predicting PS3 price cuts and quoting the "profit" reasoning.

Um, no. Sony has blown their wad. 12 months, roughly $200 in cuts. Sooner or later, they have to start making money on that bloody black monolith. Continually chopping the price every three months isn't the way to do it.

On the other hand, MS has dropped their price a whopping $50 in 25 months. There's a bit of a difference in situations there. 

Keep thinking that. You have all said the same crap previously, yet here we are. The PS3 beating the 360 in Europe every week, despite being more expensive and having an inferior game lineup.

And you keep thinking that Sony can continue with these price drops to keep up with the 360. They have even admitted that they're losing money on the 40GB model. Sooner or later, they have to hold off on price cuts to stop the bleeding.

i think anything can happen especially with price cuts but i think the others and euro market is starting to lean towards the ps3 ...
