It looks like Microsoft is still buying back all of the older phat Xbox 360s. Their agents are everywhere, in a retail store near you there could be a Microsoft employee buying 5-10 older phat Xbox 360s in order for them to double count them as shipped/sold and then re-release them to an unsuspecting third world country not near you!

In 6 months it'll be the slowest time of the year for ALL gaming systems.. A few weeks after Christmas sales tend to dwindle a bit for a couple months.. but I expect the 360 to pass the PS3 ( it should by next week or two ) in the EMEAA (europe,middle east, aust, africa) and maintain a small lead there, and open up an even wider lead in the U.S.( up by 10 million now) ..  The lead the PS3 had in EMEAA ( like 700k ?) has been all but erased in 8-9 weeks thanks to XB360 slim sales..  in Japan the 360 is doomed to be 3rd place, but to be fair they broke big ground in Japan when comparing Xbox 1 sales in Japan to 360 sales.. let face it they are up against two Japanese consoles in Japan and the Japanese tend to be very loyal to their companies, which is quite understandable.

Taking away DS and Psp, one for being very healthy and the other one for being remotely sick, the consoles are getting close of each other. I wonder if the X360 will stabilize at this numbers, or it will fall closer to wii and ps3...
