The question that needs to be asked is what is going to happen with Mass Effect 3 because Bioware said decisions for Mass Effect 1 will have some kind effect on 3.

You mean like Ninja Gaiden/ Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
I don't think they want to go through the trouble of redoing the Original.
If they really did want to, then I think they would have just straight up done a Boxset of both games. I think that Mass Effect 2 PS3's extra content will simply be a recap of the Original in the way of flashbacks. Along with whatever DLC has been released for PC/360 leading up to that point.

That's one of the reasons why I feel they will add in a big "Recap" flashback thing.
Mass Effect is a story driven series with choices spanning all the way back to the first game. To completely abandon the choices is IMO dumb, and very uncharacteristic of BioWare.
Mass effect is on PC = Mass effect is NOT XBOX 360 EXCLUSIVE. Deal with it !!

I prefer to play games on my 360 however you gotta look at this from their side. They really don't have any loyalty to either system (even though PS3 is favored be EA). It's all about money and Bioware wants big money for the next Mass Effect and the best way to do it is from multiplatform.
Just want to play good games

eh you can't blame them for wanting to make money though, ME2 didn't sell exactly spectacular though neither will this, just look what happened to Bioshock on the PS3.
MS is just dumb for not buying Bioware when they had the chance, thats the thing that will eventually come back to bite them in the ass is not buying any first party studios, to this day I still don't understand it.

And 360 owners would have played the game a year ago by the time this has even come out for the PS3
Listen its awesome for PS3 owners and I'm glad the series will get more exposure but stop trying to sound all snarky.
