I think the reason why Halo Reach has more pre-orders then MW2 is because Halo gamers tend to be the most hardcore and pre-order Halo games more then people that like COD and such.

But still really good numbers for Reach.

ture, most cod gamers are casual. considering that the cod series is made up by many diffrent devs and hence cod 5 has less sales then cod 4........ cod has a fanbase, but not a definite one.

Yeah I fully expect Halo Reach to have a lower FW then MW2 unless Halo Reach turns out to be the best thing ever and word of mouth is insane.

i see reach getting 3-4 million fw in the us, but not a 2 million fw in europe. i think mw2 is going to have better legs in the holiday, unless the bundle does wonders. with massive bundling reach could get to 13-14 million sales.

Wait you think MW2 is gonna do better then Halo Reach during the holidays? 0_o

im saying mw2 2009 holiday sales on 360= or> then holiday 2010 halo reach sales. lol :P

Ok that makes much more sense lol.

By all means, Halo Reach can outdo MW2. It has a similar target market, but think of the millions of PS360 dual owners that bought MW2 on PS3 for whatever reason.

Don't get me wrong I really want Reach to destroy MW2 in sales....but I just don't see it outselling MW2 on the 360.

i hope that I am proven wrong though.....that is some crow I would gladly eat

halo reach will outdo mw2, its an exclusive and it will be mass bundled. ltd it will do about 2.6 times what fw did. mw2 is currently at 2.25, and halo 3 at 2.9.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

I find it strange Dance Central is not on the list yet. it's been the most talked about Kinect Game. No one has talked about Kinect sports. Adventures is bundled, so who is preordering it exactly ?

Yes can't wait for Halo: Reach!!! and shooters

If you see all the footage and gameplay of Halo Reach and you own an X360 and you love FPS, there is no way you shouldn't pre order Reach just to secure my own copy Day 1. Seriously impressive stuff!

Marketing hasn't started begun for Gran Turismo 5 and plus it's not gonna relase for another 2 Months so it'll pick up eventually even though it seems that GT5 is underperforming in pre orders. But remember people, pre order numbers don't trnaslate to real sales figure.

And I'm suprised that Birth By Sleep on PSP is doing so well in pre orders. Good stuff!

i'm not a GT fan but to those doubting/worrying about GT5 I will just give two games:

1) Uncharted 2

2) Heavy Rain

both of these games had some sketchy pre-order numbers and look how well they did, to my knowledge I haven't seen or know of any GT5 advertising(other than announcements) and yet the pre-orders are over 100K. with GT5P already nearing or at 5mil I don't see any reason to worry, and I hope we are not assuming that if GT5 doesn't hit 10=flop.(though it would break some hearts...lol)

like I said in another thread; GT is sony's greatest flagship series so:

1) there will be ALOT of advertising

2) will most likely be heavily bundled

3) will definitely prosper from the holiday season(added this in)

4) this game will definitely be a greatest hit(or the equivalent to that over seas) so it will help pre-long sales

on another note: COME ON GOLDEN SUN!!! I WANT A RELEASE DATE!!!

don't you mean wheels not legs

Is there still some uncertainty over GT5's release dates? Would it be fair to say potential pre-orderers are hesitant to make their early purchase considering the game's previous postponements? I know in Aus it has been delayed once again but this could just be a reflection on our backward gaming industry.

hopefully lbp2 will retain the honor by making its own gt5 level in the game, hence we could count its sales as sales for gt5.

The LBP2 numbers are pleasing to see. This is a franchise which, on a board full of console optimists, actually warrants the adoration from PS3 owners. Few sequels without a focus on story, offer as much variety and expansion as LBP2 seems to be promising to gamers. It's developers have really embraced the concepts and direction they established in the first game, and it is showing, creatively.
