So you just assumed that there were only 35k arcades sold ? Did you ever take into consideration that,

1. The 250GB model had been released for a few weeks now, and sales were gradually dropping week after week until this week where there was a boost ? Could it be that the 250GB model sold less that last week ?
2. The new slim arcade only has a 4GB HDD that may have caused a lot of people to buy the 250GB model instead.

I'd say its impossible for anyone other that ioi to reveal what SKU sells the most. We don't know anything for sure...but then again, the not-so informed casual buyer of a xbox360 would just buy the cheaper version.

My previous comment was mentioned because I thought you didn't know the arcade had launched and therefore assumed that the 360 sales just bumped up cause of low supply or something....so ignore that dumb post of mine.

Obviously the arcade isn't the primary SKU but I would have expected a bigger bump considering how much we undertracked it. According to NPD average weekly sales were about 110k per week. With USA being 87% of Americas I would have thought sales would have been about this high with no arcade release.

Arcade still to come in EMEAA too so another boost is to expected there. Then the power of Halo Reach will be on display a couple of weeks after that. I think MS has timed everything pretty good to take it to the hole for the holidays.

sony needs another 50 sdollar price cut or at least an ps3 slim arcade or it can never outsell the x360 anymore..
